Toda esta semana he estado preparando entre otras cosas,los posts de la semana del Correo!

Bueno, hoy es Viernes y hay que descansar! aunque sea un poquito!

Este dibujito es un collage que hice el año pasado creo,pero es oportuno para estas fechas y el frio que está haciendo!

Its been a while since I ´ve shared some flea market finds!

During the winter months not so many people go to sell their things,unless its really sunny!

Nothing like Spring or summer to enjoy hours scouting wonderful things!

Hace mucho que no comparto hallazgos del rastro!

Durante los meses de frio, no va mucha gente a menos que sea un día soleado.

Pero nada como la primavera y el verano para disfrutar paseando y curioseando durante horas!

Some times this flea market finds are practical things such as pots for the garden, puzzles for the kids, baskets..

Or like in this case, a spoon for serving Ice cream and mashed potatoes as I was told!

I like it! Its from the 60´s and it works wonders!

Hay Veces que estos hallazgos del rastro son cosas prácticas! Como cestas, Puzzles para los niños, macetas,juegos de mesa,herramientas para el jardín..

O como en este caso, esta cuchara para servir helado y según me han dicho puré de patata también!

Me gusta porque es de los años 60 y funciona a las mil maravillas! : )

Another great objects were these four cristal glasses  for a pound!

I know some people dont like to buy used stuff , but I think it has its charm and its good for the pocket and our lovely earth! we all win : )

Otro objecto práctico fueron estas 4 copas de cristal en un azul muy claro, por una libra.

No sé el año, están casi nuevas aunque no lo son.

Sé que hay gente que no le gusta utilizar cosas usadas,pero yo soy de las que piensan que es maravilloso poder volver a reutilizar o reciclar algo.

En caso de objetos “antiguos” tiene un gran valor añadadido , un encanto especial y una calidad difícil de encontrar hoy en día.

Creo que todos salimos ganando en cuanto a lo económico y en que no contribuimos  a generar más basura en la Tierra. : )

And last these cute cute little wooden soldiers from the 40´s They are my favorites!! : ) LOL! so funny!

Y por último los que creo que os harán reir..estos soldaditos de madera de los años 40 ( o eso me dijeron) Para poner los huevos cocidos del desayuno!

Me encantan! que graciosos,verdad?

My friend Erika organized a painting pottery day and I couldn´t be more happy!

The first time I did this I just loved it so so much!

This time it was in her own house that we gathered!

Mi amiga Erika organizó una tarde para pintar cerámica y yo no podía estar más contenta!

Desde la primera vez que lo probé me fascinó!

Esta vez fue en su propia casa donde se llevó a cabo!

During the morning it was the kids who painted first their plates.

Everything was ready! special paints, brushes..

En la mañana primero pintaron los niños pequeños sus platos.

Toda la mesa estaba repleta de las pinturas especiales, pinceles..

Once the ceramic is glazed and fired the colors change a bit, so to make sure we chose the right colors, a mosaic was already fired with all the 20 colors available   : )

Una vez que se lleva glasea y se hornea la pieza, los colores cambian ligeramente, por ello tenían este mosaico

con todos los colores ya “horneados” para que pudiésemos ver el acabado y elegir bien.

My two sons also painted their plates!

Keni drew the shire ( he is a huge fan of the Lord of the Rings ) ; )

And Tuti painted a pinguin of CLub Pinguin  : )

Mis hijos también pintaron su plato de postre : )

Keni dibujó la comarca ( es un súper fan del Señor de los Anillos)  Ese círculo que véis, es la puerta de Bolsón cerrado!

Tuti, el mayor, dibujó un pingüino de Club Penguin

Later in the evening it was the moms turn to paint! Above are the pieces I chosed!

Luego en la noche nos tocó a las madres pintar las piezas que habíamos elegido previamente. Las de arriba son las mías : )

And here it is ! one of the ceramic pieces I painted: a bowl with flowers,birds and a little cat of course! =^o ^=

He aquí uno de los platos, un plato de sopa. Con flores, pajaritos, un gato.. -=^o ^=

I havent taken pictures to the rest of the plates so I will have to show them to you another day, but I hope you have enjoyed the painting pottey day! ♥

Hello! I was about to tell you what I did this weekend when something wonderful happened right NOW : is started to snow!!

There cant be a better way to begin the week with snow flakes and all that it implies : excitement and laughter from the little ones around the house : )

Esta mañana iba a comenzar el día contándo un poco qué tal el fin de semana;

pero mejor os cuento lo que está pasando AHORA mismo : está nevando!

Qué mejor forma de comenzar un Lunes que con copos de nieve y todo lo que ello implica: emoción y risas de los más pequeños de la casa : )

A little house on a hill of wool .. where a cat sleeps close to the door while the dreams are knitted ♥

Una casita sobre una colina de lana..

donde duerme un gato junto a la puerta mientras se tejen los sueños ♥

I´m so enjoying  ”The Tupper Club“some friends and I started a few months ago!

This time is was Lucia´s turn to propose a recepie: stuffed potatoes!

Estoy disfrutando tanto El Club del Tupper!

Esta vez fue el turno de Lucía proponer la receta: Patatas Rellenas!

Lucía´s recepie was originally with meat, but since I´m vegetarian , I twitched it a little and stuffed them with soy mince : )

En la receta de Lucía, las patatas estaban rellenas de carne,pero como soy vegetariana, utilicé soja texturizada : )

The first step was to empty the potatoes with that watermelon tool

The second step was to stuff them with the “meat”. Soy can be pretty much prepared like normal meat once is hydrated.You just cook it with onion, spices..

The third step was to fry them slightly until they are golden ..and

The fourth step was to cook them in the oven for an hour aprox. covered with a cup of white wine.

El primer paso era pelar las patatas y vaciarlas con un vacia melones

El segundo paso era rellenarlas con la “carne”. La soja ,una vez que está hidratada de condimenta como la carne normal, con cebollas, ajo, especias,etc

El tercer paso fue tapar la abertura de la patata con un trocito de patata pasado por huevo y harina

El cuarto paso fue dorarlas en aceite..Y

El quinto y último  paso dejarlas cocer a fuego lento con un chorrito de vino blanco.

The fifth step was to clean up the kitchen! : )

El sexto paso: recoger la cocina mientras se hacen las patatas. : )

And after an hour in the oven they are ready!

They came out really nice and the kids loved them!

They even suggested new filling ingredients!

I cant wait to see what the new recepie will be!!! : D

Y después de una hora al horno las patatas estarán listas!!!

Quedaron muy ricas y a los niños les gustaron mucho !

Incluso hicieron sus sugerencias de qué rellenarlas la próxima vez!

Tengo muchas ganas de saber cuál será el próximo reto!!!

Not so long ago I had the inmmense pleasure of receiving a super lovely letter from a friend…It is so beautiful I just had to share!

No hace mucho recibí una carta de una amiga.Una carta preciosa! tanto es así que tenía que enseñárosla!

I was smittened by all the cute details..the envelope  made of tracing paper.,the bits of washi tape , the stamps!! Oh my the stamps!

Me quedé prendada de todos los detallitos..Los trocitos de washi tape, el sobre que era de papel cebolla y los sellos! creo que nunca había visto unos tan bonitos!

This one is another letter from her!!! I love it!

Esta es otra carta suya  y también es taaaan bonita! me encanta!

I´ve been a fan of Elsita Mora for a while now.

She is one of those artists who are so good at everything they do ! its really amazing!

From porcelain, to painting, miniature books..and one of my favorites : paper cuts!

I´ve been very inspired by her beautiful paper cuts and so I carved a little stamp …

Hace tiempo que sigo el trabajo MARAVILLOSO de Elsita Mora.

Pocas artistas hay como ella que abarquen tantas formas de expresión y además destaquen!

Elsita se atreve con todo! Desde trabajos con porcelana, libros en miniatura, muñecas hechas a mano, pintura y..uno de mis favoritos: los recortes de papel!

Siempre me han inspirado muchísímo y desde hace tiempo  quería probar a carvar un sellito inspirado en uno de sus trabajos…

I thought the idea of little animals together holding flowers was irresitible!

So with the permission of Elsita, here is my humble little version..

Esta idea de los animalitos, las florecitas me pareció irresistible

y con el permiso de Elsita, carvé mi pequeña y humilde versión ..

I´m happy with the result : ) I enjoy so much carving! its fun and meditative!

With this stamp I decorated a little notepad so you could see better the result.

Estoy contenta con el resultado : ) Cada vez disfruto más carvar; es muy entretenido y relajante : )

Con este sellito es que decoré una pequeña libreta, para que viérais mejor el resultado.

For that purspose I used my favorite pens to color the stamp.

I like these because when they dry you get this really nice matt finish.

Para ello, utilicé mis bolis favoritos japoneses de Uni-ball,

ya que cuando se secan queda un color mate  que cubre además muy bien .

Its fun to give some color to the stamps : )

y qué puedo decir …que además, me gusta colorear los sellitos : )

And here is the final result! just add some washi tape and voilá!
