I´m enjoying right now some sunshine that has managed to avoid the clouds…oh how I´m longing for spring and some warm air.

Strawberry season is just around the corner and we are beggining to spot the first ones…here are some for breakfast, served with herbal tea and biscuits, the ones my kids didn´t like-but bought because of the cute shaped animals forms.

They are supposed to be gluten free, sugar free, and anything else you can imagine. But they dont taste that bad…..at least not with tea ; )

Estoy disfrutando ahora mismo de algunos rayos de sol que han sido capaces de evitar las nubes…cuánto anhelo la primavera y un poco- sólo un poco- de aire más cálido.

La temporada de fresas está a la vuelta de la esquina y empezamos a ver las primeras..aquí tengo algunas para desayunar, acompañadas con té de hierbas y galletas, las que a mis hijos nos les gustaron. Se supone que son sin gluten, sin azúcar  y todo lo “sin” que se pueda imaginar. Pero no saben tan mal…..por lo menos no con té  ; )

Today  I thought I would take you for a walk through the beautiful town of Aranjuez.

The Royal palace and the gardens are really something!

Hoy pensé que os llevaría de paseo por la preciosa ciudad de Aranjuez.

Hello! I hope you all had a great weekend!

As for us, we stayed at home watching movies,playing games with the kids, reading stories and baking ginger cookies! I found this great recepie and they were delicious!

And even though we had this great cookie cutters shaped with hearts, squirrles,flowers,  and christmas trees, the kids just wanted the ones we didn` t have : dinosaur cutters! ( it´s always like this, right? ) We tried to make some with our hands, but didn´t came out as we had expected..still, we had lots of fun and tasted really good! Wish you could taste some too!

!Hola!  Espero que hayáis tenido un buen fin de semana!

Nosotros nos quedamos en casa viendo pelis, jugando con los niños, leyendo cuentos y horneando galletas de jengibre. Encontré ésta receta y estaban deliciosas!

Aunque teníamos unos moldes para galletas con formas muy bonitas de corazones, ardillas, flores, árboles de navidad, los niños sólo querían las que no teníamos:  de dinosaurios! ( siempre es así, verdad? ) Intentamos hacer unas con nuestras manos, pero no salieron como queríamos…de todas formas sabían muy bien y nos lo pasamos genial! Ojalá pudierais probarlas!

A couple of days ago I came up with this little  bunny pincushion. Very easy to sew but I have to confess I can´t use for the pins anymore..I dont like to needle this cute face! neither did the kids like it when they saw me. So I was just allowed to do it once, just for the picture. After that, it wasn´t a pincushion  anymore but just a plush for the kids. They “rescued” him,  cuddle him at night and tuck it to bed, so I´m guessing it is a better life for a pincushion, I mean, bunny..

Hace unos días hice este alfiletero de conejito. Fue muy fácil coserlo, pero tengo que confesar que no lo puedo utilizar más para los alfileres.  No puedo clavárselos en su carita que me mira! Tampoco le gustó ésto a mis hijitos cuando me vieron hacerlo. Así es que sólo lo hice una vez para la foto. Después dejó de ser un alfiletero y se convirtío  oficialmente en peluche para los niños.  Lo “rescataron” y ahora lo abrazan por las noches y duerme con ellos, así es que imagino que esta sí es una mejor vida para un alfiletero, digo, conejito de peluche.

There has been a lot of crafting this Christmas. Which is something I certainly love!

A friend of mine asked me to make her these Christmas tags. It was a lot of fun and I pretty much liked the final result.

Some cardboard, paper hearts, embossing powder and stamps and some clothpins…

Ha habido muchas manualidades por la casa esta Navidad. Lo cual es algo que me encanta!

Una amiga me pidió que le hiciera unas tarjetas pequeñas para los regalos. Fue muy entretenido y me ha gustado el resultado.

Cartulina, corazones de papel, polvos para embosar, sellos y pincitas de la ropa…

Christmas holidays are about to end. Next Monday kids start school again.

If I had to describe this days with just a few words, they would be..

quiet, snowflakes (just a few), rain ( a lot), cozy, sewing, movies, yummy ginger cookies and organic blueberry yoghurt…

tenderness, candles, dreaming… I think I could go on, but I´ll leave it here ; )

Las vacaciones de Navidad están a punto de acabarse. El próximo Lunes los niños comienzan el cole.

Si tuviera que describir estos días con pocas palabras, serían…

silencio, copos de nieve (unos pocos), lluvia ( mucha), acogedor, costura, peliculas, deliciosas galletas de jengibre y yoghurt de arándanos..

ternura, velas, sueños..Creo que podría seguir,pero lo dejaré aquí ; )

Quiero agradeceros el estar conmigo 2009. Gracias por el apoyo, el tiempo y la amistad. Estoy muy contenta e inspirada por todo esta magnífica comunidad de personas creativas. Espero con impaciencia compartir otro año juntos la alegría, las manualidades, las preciosas imágenes, los pensamientos ..
