I´ve been reading this wonderful book from Marianne Williamson called ” A Return to love”. Is a book to read slowly, assimilating its content, its teachings.

This book provides a beautiful vision of life, having love as the main cause. About the way we decide to focus in love in every situation and not in fear.

The maximum premise is that “Only Love is real and nothing else matters”. I share this vision of life and I like to read this sort of books.Thats why I made this litte sign with that beautiful quote. Just “save the image as” and print it if you like,as a reminder for every day. Enjoy!

Hace tiempo que leo un libro maravilloso de Marianne Williamson llamado “Regreso al amor”. Es un libro para leerse despacito, asimilando su contenido, sus enseñanzas.

En él , aporta una hermosa visión de la vida basada en el amor como principio. Y cita que sólo el amor es real, nada más importa. En la manera que decidimos  en nuestra vida, enfocarnos en el amor y tenerlo como máxima prioridad ante cualquier situación. Comparto esta visión y me gusta leer este tipo de libros.

Hello!! How was your weekend? how are you feeling today? I went to the forest with the family and friends for a picnik. The weather was really nice and the forest very peaceful.

As humans and creators,Nature is always our source of inspiration. Our creations  reflect her beauty through our own perception. Our own interpretation of its colors, shapes, dancing forms, softness and strength.

Today I feel inspired by an artists that has  reflected that beauty in a lovely way..see for your self..

Hola!!! que tal vuestro fin de semana? cómo os sentís hoy? Yo fui al bosque con la familia y unos amigos de picnik. El tiempo fue muy agradable y el bosque estaba tan en calma…

Una vez más, observando las  formas de las hojas, las semillas y las suavidad de las piedras, comprendí que en la naturaleza no está la fuente primordial de inspiración. ES la absoluta fuente de  inspiración, pues todo procede de ella. Es la gran maestra. Como artistas, nuestras creaciones intentan reflejar su belleza, a través de nuestra propia percepcion. Nuestra interpretación de sus colores, sus formas danzantes, su suavidad y su fuerza.

Hoy me siento inspirada por el trabajo de una artista que ha reflejado maravillosamente su belleza, mirad por vosotros mismos…

Paula Valentim is a ceramist from Portugal. I love her work because its delicate and femenine. Its soft and harmonius forms transmit pure beauty! Her world is very poetic and natural.Check her flickr and website! I´m sure you´ll love her too!

For me,  life is, among other things, a journey of self-discovery. To define who you are, why we are  here, what  is your service. There are many things that I do not understand and sometimes I feel desperate or melancholic, sad or anxious for “not “knowing”. For my way of being I do not stop asking these type of things.. There are things that help find my purpose, and indicate the way to me.  I know I feel happy  and free when I am in the nature walking silently, observing, feeling the life in all his manifestations around me… Slowly I begin to  form a  clearer image  of whom I am or who I want to be. I put it within quotation marks because this is like the waves of the sea, they come and go, sanding the  rocks, destroying and returning to construct, there is no  end or  goal .. everything is changeable as the seasons, as the days, we are not the same. There is melancholy in this infinite dance and also beauty, knowledge and hope.  It is necessary to open the eyes, the mind, the senses to realize and live through it with conscience.

Para mí, la vida es, entre otras cosas un viaje de auto-descubrimiento. Definir quién eres, qué haces aquí, cuál es tu servicio. Hay muchas cosas que no comprendo y a veces me siento desesperada o melancólica, triste o inquieta por no “saber”.  Por mi forma de ser no dejo de preguntarme. Hay cosas que me ayudan a encontrame a mi misma y me indican el camino. Se que me siento feliz y libre cuando estoy en la naturaleza caminando en silencio, observando , sintiendo la vida en todas sus manifestaciones alrededor de mi,…Y poco a poco voy formando una imagen cada vez más “solida” de quién soy o quien quiero ser. Lo pongo entre comillas porque esto es como las olas del mar, vienen y van, puliendo las rocas, destruyendo y volviendo a construir, no hay un final o una meta..todo es cambiante como las estaciones, como los dias, nosotros no somos los mismos. Hay melancolia en esta danza infinita y también belleza, conocimiento y esperanza. Sólo hay que abrir los ojos, la mente ,los sentidos para darse cuenta y vivirlo con consciencia.

I´m so happy today! I finally got to use my own computer! My friend from the house we are staying, connected it.  So I can have access to “my stuff” now  : photos, paintings…it feels like slowly things are starting to work again,  small , but familiar and comforting details! yay for that!! : D

So I want to show you today some more feathery-furry-forest creatures ….I painted these in Spain, but I never showed them to you..or did I ?  Sometimes I have bad memory!

These two are very good friends and they do have names this time! I wanted to name them after two cats..and in honor f Amanda from Soulemama! Her blog is SO special to me! So hoping she doenst mind…I called them Fiddles and Banjo! They are not exactly cats, maybe a sort of catbirds..as they do have feathers.. My friend Geo says they are two cats dressed up for Halloween! LOL!!! good observation! could be.. : D

..oh well, here they are..

Estoy muy contenta hoy porque por fin estoy utilizando mi propio ordenador!Mi amigo de la casa donde nos estamos quedando lo instalo, asi es que ahora puedo tener acceso a  mis fotos, ilustraciones, etc..se siente como que las cosas comienzan a funcionar otra vez. Pequeños detalles familiares que recomfortan.

Asi es que hoy os quiero enseñar otras dos criaturitas-peluditas-de plumitas…Las pinte en España pero nunca os las enseñé…o si? a veces tengo mala memoria!

Estos dos son buenos amigos y sí tienen nombres esta vez! Los quería nombrar después de dos gatos …y en honor a Amanda, de Soulemama. Su blog es TAN especial y querido para mi! Esperando que no le importe, los he llamado Fiddles y Banjo! No son exáctamente gatos, eso ya lo sabéis, sino una mezcla de ave-gatuna o algo por el estilo… mi amiga Geo dice que son dos gatos disfrazados para Halloween! jaja, buena observación! podria ser!  : D pues ya véis que tienen plumas…bueno aquí están…

I’m still thinking about last fridays post. How to achieve more spending less. When we moved from Spain we had to sell all our furniture. It was too expensive to take it with us. The only “”furniture” I did bring with me was my white mirror. It was a “free” find and  in such a good condition. I almost felt sorry for it, why would someone dump such a beautiful mirror? But on the other hand,good thing they did, because I found it! all it needed was a fresh coat of white paint and a little bit of love to make it look this pretty! Any way, we have to get new furniture for the new house here, and all at once can be a lot of money. Good thing they have pretty nice flea markets here!

Todavia estoy pensando en el ultimo post del Viernes. Como conseguir mas, gastando menos. Cuando nos mudamos de Espana tuvimos que vender todos nuestros muebles. Era demasiado caro llevarnoslos. La unica pieza que si me lleve, fue mi espejo redondo. Lo encontre tirado en la calle en tan perfecto estado. Casi hasta me dio lastima por el. Por que alguien tiraria un espejo tan grande y bonito? quiza tambien se mudaban. Pero que bueno que lo hicieran porque asi me lo quede yo! Todo lo que ncesitaba era un par de capas de pintura y un poquito de amor para que quedara asi de bonito.

Bueno, pues como decia, comprar de nuevo todos los muebles aqui puede salir caro, que bien que tengan rastros muy interesantes!

Also, these photos I selected for today get me thinking about being creative on a budget..Its not what you have, is how you use it..I already said that..I know, but just look at how nice these old things are displayed ( first photo to the right), or how beautiful this handmade  cushion looks. And the flowers, they really make a place look so cozy..freshly picked flowers from the garden. A Whole bunch in a flower vase or just a single one in a cup, placed by the window sill..wow! to me simplicity is the mother of beauty! And just take a look at the papier mache bowls….stunning! This is what I mean about being creative! !!! You dont need to spend so much money, just get creative! here are some ideas you can try at home.At last but not least the beautiful stretched fabric on the canvas. The last photo to the right. Art doesnt need to be expensive either. Another idea on how to frame fabric can be found here.

Well, so this are things that certainly get me going.. I’ll try as many of these as I can! thats for sure! I hope this has inspired you to make your own home more cozy and unique!!!!! have a beautiful ( and creative) day friends!!!!

Estas fotos que he seleccionado para hoy me hacen pensar en ser creativo cuando se tiene un presupuesto…no es lo que tienes sino como lo utilizas…ya lo he dicho antes, lo se, pero mirad estos objetos viejos que bien se ven ( primera foto a la derecha) o el cojin de abajo, cosido a mano. y las flores, siempre hacen que una habitacion se vea tan acogedora. Un monton puestas en un jarron o una sola en un tazon apoyada en la ventana..wow! la simplicidad es la madre de las cosas bellas. Y observad a los cuencos de papel mache…increibles! A esto me refiero con ser creativo. NO se necesita gastar tanto para poner la casa bonita. Solo hace flata un poco de imaginacion, creatividad y buenas ideas. Aqui os muestro algunas que podeis intentar en casa. Modificadlas a vuestro gusto! Y por ultimo pero no menos bonito, la tela que se ha enmarcado para hacerla parecer una pintura.Es la ultima foto de abajo a la derecha. El “arte! no tiene porque ser tan caro. Una tela bonita puede hacer maravillas! otra idea de enmarcar tela la podeis encontrar aqui.

Bueno, estas son las cosas que me hacen estar activa..intentare tantas ideas de estas como pueda, eso seguro! Espero que os haya inspirado a vosotros tambien a tener un espacio mas acogedor y unico! que tengais un dia creativamente maravilloso!

Finally ,after four weeks living here in the UK we found our house!!! After viewing so many..(.I cant really remember the number of houses and flats we have visited), we found the right one for us.

Its a very nice house! The kitchen is lovely, the bathroom, livingroom…and it even has a small garden! something I ‘ve been dreaming about for sometime now! Cant wait to plant some flowers! And maybe even a small apple tree! who knows! But the best part, is that I have a study of my own! It has a very nice size and big windows…its so lovely there! I cant sleep thinking about it. Not only decorate it,but start painting again !I miss my watercolors! The only thing I dont like is that we will have to wait from two to three weeks to move in. : (  So I cant show you any pictures yet…

In the meantime,Ii’ll start gathering some ideas of rooms and studies I like…What do you think? Arent these pretty and best of all, Inspiring?

Por fin! Despues de cuatro semanas en Inglaterra hemos encontrado Casa!!!! Despues de ver tantas…ya hasta perdi la cuenta de las casas que hemos visitado! Nos ha costado,pero al fin la hemos encontrado!

Es una casa muy bonita! la cocina, el baño, el salon..e incluso tiene un pequeño jardin! Algo con lo que he soñado desde hace mucho tiempo. Que ganas de ponerme a plantar flores! e incluso un arbolito de manzanas..ya se vera! Pero la mejor parte es que tendre un estudio propio. Es decir toda una habitacion! jaja! Tiene tres ventanas muy grandes..esta muy bonito! Que ganas de decorarlo! lo malo que la casa nos la dan en un par de semanas! buaa! asi es que a esperar y desarrollar la paciencia!!! Hasta entonces no os podre enseñar fotos de la casa…

Mientras tanto comenzare a reunir ideas de habitaciones o estudios que me gustan..que opinais ? no son bonitas e inspiradoras!!?

I have always cherised the idea of “hanging” photos on a rope or whire! these are just lovely!

El espacio en general de esta habitacion me dice mucho. La luz, los toques de color, y el toque de las flores por la habitacion..siempre tan bonito y  necesario!

I noticed I like soft color palettes, neutrals ,white, and wood, along with some color scattered around the room.

Its the perfect balance. A relaxed space thanks to white and neutrals, some warmth given by the wood, and some color. The body must be relaxed, but the mind active and fresh.

Me doy cuenta que me declino por tonos suaves, blancos y madera con chispitas de color esparcidas por la habitacion, en forma de cojines, lamparas, cuadros..

Es una buena manera de crear un espacio relajado, gracias al blanco,pero a la vez dinamico gracias al color. Ideal para un estudio.

Digamos que es una idea equilibrada. Quiza demasiado blanco me dormiria..y hay que trabajar..pero mucho color me saturaria y la mente debe estar fresca!

This is so lovely too! And the thing I like about white is that is like a white canvas in which you can make as many variations as you like. Just by changing the curtains, cushions and pillows, art on the walls…and create different spaces and moods any time you like.

Esto es muy bonito! y lo que me gusta del blanco es que es como un lienzo…en blanco…es decir que solo con cambiar el color de las cortinas, los cojines, los cuadros, puedes tener “diferentes” habitaciones siempre que te apetezca cambiar.

Again, white and color…and the light! Theres nothing better than light coming fresh early in the morning trhough the window, or warm and golden in the evening to keep you inspired at every moment.

Notice I havent mentioned the light or better yet, heat, that comes trhough the window in summer…hahah, thats too much “light”.

Well, these are some of the ideas I’d like for my new studio. Since I still have time, I’ll consider carefully what I want and need for creating a serene and cosy room, not spending much and using creativity and imagination instead.Is not what you have , is how you use it right?

De nuevo, blanco y colores…y luz! no hay nada mejor que la luz, entrando fresca por la ventana en las mananas o calida y dorada al atardecer para sentirse inspirada en todo momento.( Notese que no menciono la del mediodia ..en verano…que te asa dentro de la casa como un pollo…jaja)

Bueno, pues estas son algunas ideas que tengo para mi nuevo estudio. Como aun tengo tiempo, ire pensando poco a poco lo que quiero, crear un espacio , sereno y acogedor, gastando poco y utilizando la creatividad e imaginacion . Al final no es lo que tienes, sino como lo utilizas.

Hello! Not only This Monday post is easy to put together,but so fun! One of my favourite things to do, is browse through flickr photos! my number one source of inspiration! Isnt incredible how sometime a single image can speak to us? This happens to me all the time and I just love it! The Colors, textures, themes, the styling…It can be all I need to start drawing something, or start taking photos. Inspiration is one of my favorite words. Along with creativity…these two together are so wonderful! I also love the fact that in this internet world, we all help inspiring each other trhough our blogs, ideas, photos or words. What we cant do is underestimate the power of this ,thats for sure. Because even the smallest and tinyest of our acts can really make a difference to someone. Therefore lets give the best of us so we can make a positive impact.

These are the little seeds we plant, nurture with love and hopes thats someday they’ll blossom into beautiful and colorful flowers or strong and mighty trees. Happy Isnpiration to all of you where ever you may be !

Hola! no solo es este post de los lunes facil de escribir, sino divertido. Una de las cosas que mas me gusta hacer es buscar fotos en flickr. Mi fuente numero uno de inspiracion. No es increible como a veces una sola imagen nos puede decir tanto? Esto me ocurre a mi todo el tiempo y me encanta. Dejarme sorprender una y otra vez. A veces  los colores, o las texturas, el tema, la luz, el estilismo de la foto..Pueden ser todo lo que necesito para empezar a pintar algo o sacar fotos. Inspiracion. Es una de mis palabras favoritas junto con Creatividad. Las dos juntas son maravillosas! Tambien me ecanta el hecho de que en este mundo de internet todos nos ayudamos a inspirarnos y mantenernos creativamente activos. Mediante nuestros blogs, ideas, fotos, palabras. .. Lo que desdeluego no podemos hacer es subestimar el poder de esto. Porque incluso el mas peque;o e de nuestros actos puede marcar la diferencia. Tener en los demas una repercusion inesperada. Intentemos que sea positiva ! Yo por eso intento dar lo mejor de mi en este espacio. Estas son las peque;as semillas que plantamos, nutrimos con amor y la esperanza de que algun dia florezcan en hermosas y coloridas flores o fornidos y altos arboles. Feliz Inspiracion a todas vosotras dondequiera que esteis!
