Hello! Happy Monday!

Oh I have been very busy working on very nice projects! One is illustrating and writing an article for a kids magazine! It´s really a fun one! I hope to show it to you soon!

The other one is also colaborating with the illustrations of a didactic guide celebrating women from history!

Also, I´ll bre travelling to Germany on Friday…so I´ll return to this blog on Tuesday of next week!

Hola! Feliz Lunes! Hee stado muy ocupada trabajando en varios proyectos! uno para una revista de niños, escribiendo e ilustrando un artículo y otro para una guía didáctica conmemorando a mujeres de la historia!

Este Viernes me voy de viaje a Alemania y no regresaré hasta el martes de la semana que viene,como podéis ver, es una semana laboriosa! pero gratificante!

One day, Bunny was sleeping so pleasently, when bird flew by…

Un día soleado, Conejito dormía la siesta muy placenteramente, cuando pajarito voló cerca..

Bird rested for a while on top of the tree, when he suddenly caught bunny´s attention..

Pajarito descansó un rato en el árbol, cuando de repente llamó la atención de conejito..

Bird flew down to see what bunny wanted.”Hello! ” they said to each other.

Pajarito voló hasta él para ver qué quería conejito. “Hola”! se saludaron el uno al otro.

After a while of chatting and getting to know each other, since they were both very tired, tehy decided to take a little nap together! : ) ♥

Después de un rato de conversar y conocerse y como ambos estaban muy cansados, decidieron dormir la siesta juntos! : ) ♥

As I surf the web I always see SO many things that Inspire me SO much and sometimes I think that besides posting about my work, it would be nice to share with you these lovely finds!! So here, let me show you…

1.-  Stamps! Not only the idea is so brilliant! i love the wooden box and the stamps of course!!

Mientras navego por la web, veo muchas cosas que me inspiran y pienso a veces que además de compartiros mi trabajo, sería también bonito enseñaros esto que encuentro y me encanta…así es que aquí lo tenéis…

.- Sellos!No sólo la idea es brillante! La caja de madera , la presentación es preciosa  y ni qué decir de los sellos!

Who could not feel inspired by her house? I f i had to describe it with one word it would be : perfect! : )

If i had to add two more I would say it transmits me calmness and peace.

First I drew with a pencil the details to carve

Primero dibujé con lápiz el motivo o en este caso los motivos a carvar

Here it is after the carving and testing it with some purple ink in case i needed to correct some details.

Aquí está tras carvar y hecho algunas pruebas con tinta morada por si había que definir detalles

Here is the result. I´ve stamped it in a piece of cardboard in different colors, then I cut it and now I have little cards to write notes! : )

y aquí veis el resultado. He estampado una hoja entera en diferentes colores,luego la he recortado y así tengo tarjetitas personalizadas para escribir! : )

Hello!! Hope you had a lovely weekend! Monday is here! For many Monday is the worse day of the week…mmm ..poor Monday ,but I read something a couple of days ago that changed the way I perceived things. It went something like this:

” A day is not like every other day, neither a week , neither a month is alike any other, we must step out of this beleives and accept each day as a whole and unique moment of our lifes.”

So true, isn´t? So forgetting its monday, forgetting its January, or even forgetting the year we are at.., lets just embrace this moment with happiness! Happy “Inspiration Day”

Hola! Espero que tuvierais un fin de semana muy bonito! El Lunes está aquí! y para muchos, es el peor día de la semana…oooooh, “pobre Lunes”! Pero el otro día leí algo que cambió la manera en que percibí las cosas,  y quiero compartirlo con vosotras, a ver si os ayuda como a mí. Decía algo así:

“Un día no es como cualquier otro, ni una semana, ni un mes , debemos apartarnos de esas creencias y aceptar cada día como un  momento completo y único en nuestras vidas”

Cierto, verdad? Así es que olvidemonos que es Lunes, o Enero, o 2011! Sólo abracemos este instante con felicidad. Feliz Día inspirador!

Os dejo con estos pajaritos de barro  que hice inspirados por los que cantan fuera en los árboles.

They are really simple, but I like that simplicity, their color, their texture, their smell, because it reminds me of the Earth.♥

Son lo más sencillo del mundo,pero me gustan en su simplicidad y en su color , su tacto, su olor que recuerda a la Tierra.

Hello! I´ve put together a tutorial for you! It´s written first in English and then in spanish!

Hola! He hecho un tutorial para vosotras! está primero en inglés y más abajo en español!!

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥English ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

What you´ll need:

1.- Washi tape or any piece of paper that you like for its colors, or patterns or motifs.

2.- Clear glue. I used this one below and it works pretty good.

3.-Cristal pebbles.

4. Small Magnets.

Step by step Instructions

1.- Cut a small piece of washi tape or of the paper of your choice. It has to be the same size as the pebble .

2.- In case of using washi tape, tape it to a white piece of paper or cardboard.

3.- Add some glue on the right side of the paper.

4.- Put the pebble on top and press slighty.

5.- Let it dry

6.-Glue the magnet on the back.You can find this type of magnetes here.

7.- and 8. - Are examples of using the washi tape and some bits of paper with butterflies on them.

♥IDEA♥ I made these with my kids and they painted their own little pieces of paper with their ideas and they came out so cute!!!they make great gifts !

Me complace compartiros hoy este sencillo tutorial para hacer imanes con cantos de cristal.

Es la mar de fácil y divertido!

Lo que necesitaréis:

1.- Yo he hecho estos imanes con cinta adhesiva japonesa ( llamada también Washi),pero cualquier trocito de papel de colores os valdrá!

2.- Pegamento transparente

3.-Cantos de cristal de los que se utilizan para rellenar jarrones

4.- Imanes pequeñitos

(Me han dicho que en Madrid se consiguen aquí)

Isntrucciones paso a paso

1.- Cortar un trocito de cinta adhesiva del tamaño del canto . O un trocito de un papel que os guste por su color o motivos.

2.- En caso de la cinta adhesiva, pegadlo a un trocito de papel; en caso de utilizar sólo un papel de color no hace falta que hagais este paso.

3.- Echad pegamento en la cara buena del papel

4.- Encima colocad el canto por su lado plano.

5.- presionad y esperad a que se seque.

6.- pegad ahora el imán en el centro por detrás.Podéis encontra este tipo de imanes, aquí.

7.- Listo! estos son los imanes hechos con cinta washi.

8.- Estos, los imanes hechos con un trozo de papel, en este caso de mariposas.

♥Idea: hice también esta manualidad con mis hijos ,pero ellos pintaron en los trocitos de papel sus propios dibujitos!!! quedaron preciosos! : D ♥♥♥

Hola! Estoy “actualizando “ mi tienda ( no sé si se dice así en español : P) Y son muy buenas noticias para mí,porque veo mi pequeño negocio crecer y esto me da alegría! Es  una sensación INCREIBLE  saber que personas de TODAS partes del mundo tienen mis ilustraciones en sus casas! Me siento bendecida al poder compartir un trocito de mi alma a través de mi arte!

Because thats exactly the way I feel about what I do. I dont feel this is entirely me painting or expressing my self..my hands hold the brushes and the pencil, but I feel that something else is manifesting through me. Call it whatever you like, it really doesnt´s matter! its the same source where we all come from, where everything manifests.

This little devas as I like to call them, are little angels of nature with animal forms.

Antes que nada, tengo que recomendaros este discurso que dio ELizabeth Gilbert sobre la creatividad.

Porque es así cómo me siento exáctamente. No siento que sea “yo” enteramente pintando o expresándome..mis manos sujetan el pincel y los colores,pero se siente a veces que es “algo más” manifestándose a través de uno.El nombre no importa, porque al fin y al cabo es la misma fuente de donde todo y todos procedemos, donde todo se manifiesta.

Estos pequeños “devas” como me gusta llamarlos, son ángelitos de la naturaleza con forma de animalitos, en este caso conejitos.

As for this little one…mmm he seems to be meditating!( not sleeping)Feeling the life within and around him. Inside and out. Thats the reason why flowers adorn him. : ) There´s no separation between them and him : )

Since I live In the Uk, I´ve becomed fond of writting letters again!

I love this because you really put your energy and love in it! And its the same  way around when you receive it! a warm and airy wave comes out of it feeling almost like a hug!

Besides, for me its also an excuse to get creative because i like to paint and decorate each envelope and I enjoy this so much!

Desde que vivo en Inglaterra me he vuelto a aficionar a escribir cartas a mano! Me encanta porque realmente pones tu energía y amor en ello.  Y lo mismo pasa cuando recibes una, es como si una oleada de calor saliera del sobre y te abrazara!

Para mí, es además la excusa perfecta para ponerme a crear un poquito más!

Porque pinto cada sobre con todo lo que se me ocurre y disfruto mucho en el proceso.

Stamps, color pencils, ink…and this craft envelopes that I love because they are so versatile!( and made of recycled paper!♥)

Sellos,lápices, pegatinas,tinta…y estos sobres de papel craft que me encantan y son tan versátiles. Además de papel reciclado!

The truth is I love to decorate envelopes so much I´m doing it just a as a way of art and have a whole bunch ready to send to family and friends!

I continue having the “colors of spring” theme in my mind…it´s all because of the birdies! they are responsible for this! ; ) they just melt my heart with their happy chirps!
