Hello!

How was your weekend? : )

I can say mine was really lovely! I had some time to hang out with friends, to paint pottery, knitt and read Asterix and Obelix to my sons ( oh how we love these comics).

I plann to have a very colorful week on the blog!  ´Cause color is what I crave for right now!  So to start with today, some yellow! oh yummy!♥

qué tal el fin de semana? : )

Yo puedo decir que el mio estuvo muy bien! Tuve tiempo de estar con amig@s, pintar cerámica, tejer y leerles a mis hijos Asterix y Obelix( nos encantan).

Esta semana planeo tener el blog lleno de color! Tengo antojo de color! de mucho color!Asi es que para empezar hoy, un poco de amarillo! qué rico! ♥

Today I´m going to be  a little like Brainy Smurf…which is funny because in spanish he is called  ”philosopher smurf”, so maybe my comparative wont work in english..

My weekend wishes…

Its Friday and as always, I want to wish you a lovely weekend,! But sometimes  I feel words seem repetitive and empty, Its a wish with good intention but it still seems to me to be more of the same..And I want my weekend wish to really resonate within you today! so here we go ( I hadn´t started yet ; ) )

In a world in which so many things happen at the same time, light and darkness, love and tragedy….I dont understand why it is this way…It Seems to me that is much easier  to be nice to others and generous…why NOT be? Each and every one of us contributes by the way we think, with what we say or do to the world´s peace.

Mi blog is a small, tiny, little grain in the sand , but I really wish with all my heart to give some beauty to the world, to remind our selves constantly that this is actually what our soul is made of!

Is not that I ignore whats going on in the world, I choose to focus  on beauty and generate positive energy-through this virtual space, this blog- that will sum up with all the  other people who too want a more loving and peaceful world.The sum of all the parts is what matters, right? So with this intention in mind, is that  I wish you not only a lovely weekend, but truly to live your life with a meaning that will make you happy and nurture you and that you may want to share this later  with the rest of the world.

This post could go on and on, but I think I made my point clear, to wish you happiness now more than ever, laughter, tenderness, hope…LOVE and so maybe we will be able to see that change we all want.

So there! this- all this- is what I wanted to say! : ) ♥

Hoy voy a ser un poco como pitufo filósofo…me he levantado con ganas de filosofar y decir algo que me nace… : )

Deseos para el fin de semana…

Llega el viernes y como siempre quiero desearos un magnifico fin de semana. Pero siento que  a veces las palabras parecen repetitivas y vacías, Es un deseo con buena  intención pero que en  el fondo suena  más de lo  mismo…Y yo quiero que hoy  os resuenen mis palabras! A ser posible con fuerza! ; )

En un mundo en el que ocurren TANTAS cosas a la vez, luz y oscuridad, amor y desgracia,…muchas veces no entiendo el  por qué….

Parece que sea fácil ser bondadoso y generoso con los demás..por qué NO serlo? Cada uno de nosotros contribuye con su forma de ser, de pensar, de actuar a la paz del planeta.

Mi blog es un pequeñísimo,minúsculo granito de arena que desea de TODO corazón aportar un poco de belleza al mundo, de inspiración positiva. No porque ignore lo que ocurre ,sino porque decido enfocarme en lo bello y generar una energía positiva -a través de este espacio, este blog-que se sume a las de muchos otros que deseamos un mundo más amoroso y pacífico. Es la suma de todas las partes lo que importa,no?  Por eso , con esta intención en mente, es que quiero desearos que paséis no sólo un fin de semana, sino que todos los días de vuestra vida tengan un sentido que os haga feliz, que os nutra y querráis compartirlo con los demás ♥. Este post podría extenderse muchísimo-porque así soy yo me encanta filosofar- pero el objetivo era desearos felicidad, ahora más nunca, muchas risas, belleza, ternura, esperanza..Amor..quizá ,sólo quizá ,nos sumemos a ese cambio que tanto deseamos presenciar.

As I mentioned yesterday, today I would show you my firts knitting proyect!

The videos that taught me,and which I found to be very practical , can be seen here and here. They are very well explained.

I know I said I knitted a Scarf, but It´s actually a neckwarmer. The size of the nedless I used were nº 7 and a  grey chunky yarn. For me, kntting with that sizeof needles and  thicker yarn made it easier. I´m Knitting now wit a 3.5 needles and  its been a bit more difficult!

Como os comenté en el post de ayer, hoy os enseñaría mi primer intento de tejer!!

Los vídeos que me enseñaron y encontré muy prácticos ( por si os interesa) fueron este y éste. Están muy bien explicados.

Para este calentador de cuello utilicé unas agujas del número 7 y una lana un poco gruesa. El proceso fué más fácil y rápido que con las agujas y la lana fina.En fín, aquí está…

Keni kindly acceded to let me take a picture of him with the scarf on( he rather be running and playing around the house). And he was so sweet ! he told me I did a nice job and gave me a kiss ♥ Also he said he likes this one because it doesn´t get in his way as normal scarfs do. I offered the neckwarmer, but he said he preffered if I knitted him one with the colors of the rainbow! ( so I began to search for that type of yarn! any clues?)

Keni amablamente me dejó sacarle una foto con ella puesta! (gran esfuerzo por su parte cuando lo que prefiere siempre es correr y jugar por la casa, no se está quieto)  : ) Fue muy dulce, me dijo que “hice un buen trabajo” y me dio un besito y que  le ha gustado mucho, sobretodo porque no se le cae a cada rato ni le cuelga como las bufandas normales y eso le molestaba mucho. Pero dice también que no quiere ésta- se la ofrecí- Él prefiere que le teja una en color arcoiris! : ) ( alguna pista de dónde se puede conseguir?)

Esta foto de las agujas la he sacado y os las muestro porque son unas agujas bastante viejas,pero me parecen preciosas ! la de color turquesa y la de madera…simplemente me encantan!

Oh, I almost forgot, I wanted to say that this sudden urge to learn how to knitt came for reading for almost two years now, Amanda a.k.a Soulemama´s blog! If you read her too, then you know  what I´m talking about!…she knitts the most beautiful things for her four, soon to be five children!..and so I couldn´t resist it anymore and I started to knitt because of her!♥

Also, as I read on Tuesdays comments that many of you also wanted to learn how to knitt, if some of you want to share some resources ( books, videos, tips..etc) with us, it would be awesome and I think many of us would feel VERY grateful indeed! so thank you!♥

Ah, se me olvidaba, quería comentar,que estas ganas de tejer me vinieron de leer a diario por ya dos años el blog de amanda A.K.A Soulemama…Si la conocéis, me comprenderéis…teje cada maravilla para sus cuatro, casi cinco hijos!!! no me pude resistir y también yo quise aprender!

Por cierto, Como en el post del Martes muchas comentasteis que también querríais empezar a tejer, si os apetece compartid más videos, recursos, consejos, tiendas,libros, ..etc, lo que sea con las demás!! sería muy bueno y os estaría muy agradecida!!: ) ♥♥♥

ok, so, todays menu is fabric buttons!

It´s just one of those things I want to share because it´s really cool. Learning how to make this fabric buttons can allow you to use them in so many different ways!

first you need the “equipment”:

Bueno, así es que en el menú de hoy tenemos ..Botones de tela!

Es una de esas cosas que descubrí hace tiempo y me encantó porque puedes hacer tantas otras cosas a partir de ellos!

Primero hace falta el “equipo de trabajo o ensamblaje”:

The “cover button assembly tool” + the buttons  can be found in craft stores and also online. Here´s where I bought mine ( and they are really cheap)

La herramienta para cubrir los botones + los botones pueden encontrarse en tiendas de manualidades o mercerías o online. Yo compré las mías aquí ( y son muy baratas)

Then you need some scraps of your favorite fabric

Its much more easier and practical if instead of showing you step by step and explaining step by step how I did, I give you this link, to a very easy how to video.

Luego un poco de restos de una tela que te guste mucho.

El proceso es muy sencillo pero mejor que explicarlo es verlo; así es que aquí os dejo el link de un video ( está en inglés pero se ve claramente cómo es el proceso).

y tachán! aquí están los pequeños botoncitos!♥

utilicé estos para adornar mi bufanda! ( mañana os la enseño)

Besides using them as buttons for a dress or a shirt, you can sew them to a felt flower and make a lovely brooch..

Además de utilizarlos propiamente como botones para una camisa, bolso,etc, podéis coserla a una flor de fieltro  con un impredible atrás y ya tenéis un bonito pin!

And there are so many more ideas! like these hair pins or how about if you glue them to a headband or a ring or a necklace…anything else that you can think of?

Y hay muchas más ideas! como estos pasadores para el pelo o pegarlos en una diadema, en una collar o un anillo..qué más cosas se os ocurren?

this are the type of things I like! you invest very llitle money, its easy, fun and the results are so nice for making  wonderful handmade presents.♥

Sometimes I make things and I think it´s maybe not worth blogging about it, but then I think, why not? its always so nice to share good ideas that have been very practical to me in many ways, so I hope you have enjoyed this post!

Éstas son las cosas que me gustan! se invierte poco dinero, es muy fácil y divertido y el resultado da para mucho!

En ocasiones me pienso dos veces si escribir este tipo de posts porque hago muchas cosas o manualidades de este tipo pero no sé si son lo suficientemente intersantes como para el blog..pero luego digo, yo creo que sí pueden interesar y sobretodo dan pie para nuevas ideas. Así es que espero que hayáis disfrutado el post de hoy! que tengáis un hermoso Miercoles! ♥

I wasn´t always a very Creative person. Not as I am now at least. And I owe it all to my blog : )

It made me want to really learn and improve my self, and share with everybody. You can go ahead and take a look at my first posts or stamps…I think they are so different to what I do know. But It´s good to take a look back  once in a while and see …I´m very happy and proud of my self,becasue all of this I learned it on my own.

No siempre fuí una persona muy creativa, al menos no como ahora. y se lo debo todo a mi blog: )

Tener un blog me hizo querer realmente aprender y esforzarme por hacer las cosas cada vez mejor,por poder luego compartirlas.

Adelante, leer si queréis mis primeros posts o ved mis primeros sellos…Creo que es todo  muy distinto a como lo hago ahora. Y me gusta mirar hacia atrás de vez en cuando y ver mis avances. Me siento orgullosa porque todo esto lo aprendí sola.

And its quite a valuable lesson for me. Not to hold back from the things I want to know, to experiment. I´ve been learning to knitt lately and my teacher´s name is Mrs . Youtube ya know?

I kept waiting for someone to teach me, for someone to appear and show me.But sometimes that person never shows up or you cant find it.

And you know, I finished my first scarf yesterday!

Y es una lección muy importante para mí. No quedarme con las ganas de hacer las cosas que quiero aprender, experimentar.

He estado aprendiendo a tejer ultimamente y sabéis quién es mi profesora? Youtube! jajaja! si me quedo esperando a encontrar a alguien que me enseñe o quiera..quizá me quede con las ganas y ayer por fin terminé mi primera bufanda!!

So..grab a book, watch a video, read a tutorial online, and best of all just do it and learn it with your own hands and make a LOT of mistakes and keep improving until way day..you´ve got it!

This is what I want to share with you today. I know you know all of this, of course, but sometimes a gentle reminder works for me : ) That we CAN, that we are CAPABLE. All we need is iniciative and be constant.

All of the things you can see above were made by me. I used to buy this type of things ,but now I preffer to make them : the squared notebook, the stamps, the tags, and the little paperweight clay. So simple yet the result is really nice.

Así es que coge un libro, mira un vídeo, lee un tutorial online y sobretodo: simplemente hazlo con tus propias manos y comete MUCHOS errores y continúa mejorando hasta que un día lo tengas!: )

Ésto es lo que quiero compartir hoy. Sé que no estoy dando a descubir una gran verdad, y que ya lo sabéis,pero es bueno que se nos recuerde de vez en cuando. Que PODEMOS, que somos CAPACES. Sólo necesitamos iniciativa y constancia.

Todo lo que está arriba lo hice yo. No son obras maestras, pero me gustan. En el pasado seguramente habría comprado todo esto y me doy cuenta que ya no. Hoy prefiero hacerlas : ) Son: una libreta de cuadritos, unas etiquetas, un móvil de pajaritos, unos sellos y en pisapapeles de barro. Muy simple pero el resultado es bonito.

Ok,So maybe I anticipated my self too much last friday talking about the sun and spring…because this weekend the sky was completly grey, it rained and it was cold. But at least I can cheer my self up with lovely images that burst in color and flowers and happiness, right? oh good! : ) Here they are in case you like me, need them too.

Vale, tal vez me anticipé demasiado el Viernes al hablar del sol tan espléndido y de la Primavera…porque este fin de semana el cielo estaba totalmente gris, llovió e hizo frio. What I love about this big sized stamps is that I can use them for making tags, sometimes notes, and even…

Lo que me gusta de estos sellos es que son grandes y los puedo utilizar para hacer etiquetas para regalos, a veces notas, en incluso..

to create little scenes, or character for my drawings just by adding smaller stamps such as this flowers.

I end up coloring some more flowers and other details by hand with markers or ink…

…sirven para crear escenarios o personajes en dibujos con la ayuda de otros sellos más pequeños como en este caso florecitas.

Termino por darle uno toques de color con rotuladores o tinta …

..and there you have it! a very “springful” drawing!

..y Listo! un dibujito muy primaveral!
