Hello!!

I´ll be signing off for the rest of the week! But I wanted to give you pretty exciting news on what you´ll be finding on the blog next week…

Because its going to be the whole 5 days about Japanese Masking tape!

I´m a big fan and since I know its becoming so popular I thought it would be a good idea to dedicate a whole week to it!

A little bit of its history, fun facts, different types , uses and of course ideas!

SO spread the voice because its going to be fun!

Mañana es fiesta nacional así es que hoy será mi último post de la semana…pero uno en el que seguro os va a gustar lo que os cuento… ; )

la próxima semana a ser muy emocionante!! Porque los cinco días trataran sobre la popular cinta adhesiva japonesa “washi”!!

Soy una gran fan y como sé que se ha hecho tan conocida, pensé que sería una buena idea dedicar una semana entera a ella!

Un poco de su historia, datos divertidos, diferentes diseños, usos y claro, ideas!

Así es que corred la voz porque será divertido ( e instructivo) lo prometo!  ; )

Finally I can show you today the ceramic pieces I painted about two months ago!!!

It was my first time painting pottery and I enjoyed it SO much. I just felt like home being in that studio with so many creative people painting!

It was so much fun,time just flew by so fast!

Finalmente puedo enseñaros hoy las piezas de cerámica que pinté hace dos meses!!!

Fue la primera vez que pintaba en cerámica y lo disfruté TANTO! Me sentí como en casa en ese estudio rodeada de gente creativa pintando!

El tiempo pasó volando!

They had so many white unglazed pieces to choose from,it was really difficult!

But finally I picked up this tile and a breakfast bowl : )

Tenían tantísimas piezas blancas para elegir y pintar, me costó mucho decidirme!

Pero finalmente escogí este azulejo y un tazón de desayuno : )

Oh the colors…another thing to think about..so many options…why do I always have a hard time making this type of decisions! : P

ay los colores…otra cosas más que pensar…tantas opciones…por qué siempre me cuesta tanto trabajo decidirme por estas cosas ! : P

I finally went for blue, pink and grey! I think its a nice combination, what do you think?

Finalmente elegí el azul, rosa y gris! Creo que es una combinación bonita, qué opináis?

The brushes were really big so the drawing is not very detailed, but waht can I say…I really liked to see a little painting of mine in a pottery piece!

I´m desperately longing to go back again!!!! ; )

Los pinceles eran muy gruesos,por eso  las líneas del dibujo no están muy definidas,pero qué puedo decir…me gustó mucho ver un dibujito mio pintado en cerámica!

Ansío desesperadamente volver a pintar más!!  ;)

This week has gone by so fast! I almost can believe it! But thats what happens when you are on Holidays, right?

I have enjoyed very much spending time outside now that Spring has fully blossom! Its so so beautiful!

But also, I have been preparing nice blog posts and some surprises…even shop updates..You´ll get to see everything next week!

One of the things my kids and I are doing during this holidays is cook ! We have so much fun in the kitchen together!

I give them simple tasks and they dont only enjoy doing them, they feel happy and proud of themselves to acomplish them! And I´m of course so very happy too to be with them : )

I could spend hours reading her recipes-they all look SO yummy- and her photos! just amazing! She has tons of recipes!just check her recipe index recepie .She also has an interesting short video where you get to see a glimpse behind the preparation of her photos! Would love to see more of that!

Podría pasarme horas leyendo sus recetas-todas se ven increíbles- y sus fotos! otra maravilla! Y es que claro, hablando de comida, primero tiene que entrar por los ojos! Podéis encontrar todo tipo de recetas en su recetario.

También tiene un video corto,pero muy interesante que nos da algunas ideas de la preparación que lleva el estilismo de las fotos.Me gustaría ver más sobre este tema!

Another super inspiring food blog, yes! I love that her recepie index shows photos of each recipe so you can quickly find one that fancies your eye!

She also has a flickr photo stream  in case you just want to favorite every photo ; )

Otro blog de cocina muy inspirador! Me encanta que en su index de recetas, aparecen fotos de cada una de ella, así es muy fácil localizar la que quieres probar. También tiene una cuenta de flickr por si queréis “favoritear” todas sus fotos ; )

And no wonder…her photography is a delight and her recipes so well explained and just delicious.

She will be publishing a book which will be available on the fall of 2012-we still have to wait a while – In the meantime enjoy her recipes and childhood memories at her blog!

La cocinera española Aran y su blog encabezan el segundo lugar en la lista de los 50 mejores blogs de cocina!

y no me extraña…su fotografía es una delicia, así como sus recetas tan bien explicadas!Sólo me gustaría que también escribiera en español! Así en España y paises de lengua hispana la podrían seguir: )

Publicará un libro que no estará disponible hasta el otoño del 2012, así es que mientras esperamos, todavía tenemos su blog !

Friday is here and so far the Holidays are turning really great! We´ve had different kinds of weather, from super warm and sunny days to really cold and windy or even rain! It´s kind of crazy! I dont know what to wear!LOL! Any way, I wanted to wish you as usual a very nice weekend! Got anything planned?

A friend of mine just celebrated her birthday and of course I wanted to give her something made by hand, so I sewed this little rain cloud with white cotton fabric and turquoise felt for the rain drops

Una amiga mia acaba de celebrar su cumpleaños y por supuesto le quería regalar algo hecho por mí; así es que cosí esta nubecita de lluvia con algodón blanco y fieltro azul-turquesa para las gotas: )

She just had a little baby boy, so this rain cloud will be hanged up in his room : )

Ha tenido un bebito, así es que esta nubecita adornará su habitación : )

I wonder who came up with the first idea of making a cloud mobile..they are all over the internet with different variations, such as the type of fabric or even diferent things hanging from it. You can find some examples here,here and here. and whole lot more on Etsy in case you want to buy one.

It´s very easy to sew and I just love how it looks.♥

Me pregunto quién tuvo la ide por primera vez de hacer un movil de nubecita..Están por todo internet ahora con diferentes variaciones, como el tipo de tela que utilizan, colores o incluso distintas cositas colgando. Podéis ver algunos ejemplos aquí ,aquí y aquí y en Etsy..muchisimos más! en caso de que os apetezca comprar una.

Es muy fácil de coser y me encanta cómo se ve ♥

Qué tal vuestro fin de semana? cómo estáis?

No podré escribir todos los días durante dos semanas,porque mis hijos ya tienen vacaciones de Pascua  y pasaremos mucho tiempo fuera y haciendo otras cosas, como manualidades ; )

Hoy sin embargo ,pensé en mostraros este sencillo proyecto de costura:

It´s the first plush I´ve sewn since my owls!

Es el primer peluchito que coso desde los buhos!

Since I love so much japanese things ( including their cartoon face expressions)  I made her eyes and nose in that style.

COmo me gustan mucho las cosas japonesas,( inclusive las esxpresiones faciales de los dibujos)hice sus ojos y nariz en ese estilo .

oh..and two red hearts on the back ♥

This little red was made with remnants of fabric, some new some old

I made one for me and one for my sister : )

So what do you think? want to give it a try?
