Today I want to share a wonderful project dream that I´m currently working on!

A new book published by Lark books called Washi Wonderful!

Just like  the Stamp book, which I talked about here, this book gathers five artists and their approach to washi tape.

The book will have  more than 50 projects I believe. All very varied and different.

Its still on the making! in fact, as I write this, all my desk is filled with washi tape rolls, paper,glue, markers…

Its precisley this colorful and creative “caos” that I want to share with you today.

Hoy quiero compartiros con gran alegría un  proyecto sueño en el que estoy trabajando!

Un Nuevo libro publicado por Lark Books llamado Washi Wonderful ♥

Al igual que el de sellos, del que ya os hablé aquí, éste libro reune a 5 artistas y su particular visión del washi tape.

El libro contará con unos 50 proyectos de washi tape.

Todos ellos muy variados y distintos, ya que cada colaboradora tiene su propio estilo.

El libro aun está en proceso..De hecho, mientras escribo esto,

toda mi mesa está hasta arriba de washi tape , papeles, pegamento, rotuladores..

y es precisamente este pequeño y colorido caos creativo el que os quiero compartir hoy.

I´ve always loved the making of a craft book!

The process of conceiving and creating all those lovely projects!

I want to make you a part of it too!  😀

It all started when a couple of months ago Jenny Doh, my editor, sent me an email

asking if I would be interested in a collaborating in a new project.

 who wouldn´t LOVE to participate in a project such as this one!

Its a dream come true and I feel very grateful to Jenny and to life! : D

Siempre me ha gustado ver lo que llaman “el making” o “hacer” de un libro.

Todo el trabajo que no vemos, el proceso de concebir y crear…Pienso que es muy bonito.

Por ello,os invito como si de una pequeña ventanita se tratase  a

que me acompañéis en la creación de este libro del que estoy tan contenta de formar parte : D

Hace ya unos meses que Jenny Doh, la editora, se puso en contacto conmigo para preguntarme si quería participar en un segundo libro.

Al ver de qué se trataba casi me da algo de la emoción! y a quién no!

Es un sueño hecho realidad y del que me siento infinitamente agradecida con Jenny y con la vida!

“Working” ( this can not be called work) creating multiple projects with washi tape is invaluable!

But let me tell you it does have its challenges! ; )

Just a quick look at pinterest and you can see ALL that is already out there made with washi tape!

Its a challenge to try to be original and give a new twist to the projects!

At the begining I wasnt sure where to start.

Jenny asigned each artist different projects,

each needing to have our own personal style ( of course)

All I needed to do to approach this project was Be my self! 

Esto de “trabajar” ( no se puede llamar trabajo a algo así)

creando una multitud de proyectos con washi tape no tiene precio,pero sí sus retos! 

Sólo hace falta meterse a pinterest para ver toooodo lo que existe hecho con washi tape. 

Es sin duda un reto ser original y crear nuevos conceptos  o dar un giro nuevo a proyectos conocidos ( aun más dificil).

Jenny nos asignó a cada artist,a diferentes proyectos que desarrollar imprimiendo en ellos nuestro sello personal.

Y ahí está la clave:Para ser original sólo tienes que ser “tu mism@”.

At the begining i didn´t know where or how to start.

But i had to start somewhere even if I lacked inspiration.

As the days passed and weeks went by I started “fueling” my creativity and suddenly I realized

I had so many ideas to put into practice I almost felt overwhelmed!

My desk started to quickly fill up with tape and cards and paper..a magnificent colored chaos!

The photo above shows how it all began..I dare not show you the after! its too much! ; )

Even my husband had a strange look on his face everytime he passed by and looked at my mess! ( it was that big)!

BUT as I always say, all this chaos and mess means only one thing : I´ve been creating! : D

Al principio, no solamente me costó arrancar, sino que no sabía por dónde empezar.

Sólo podía y debía ponerme a ello. Incluso sin estar muy inspirada o centrada. 

Con el transcurso de los días y las semanas fui “calentando motores creativos” y

de pronto me encontré inundada de ideas que quería poner a la práctica!

 La mesa de trabajo empezó a convertirse poco a poco en un magnífico caos de color.

La foto de arriba es de cuando comencé…no me atrevo a sacar la foto de unas horas después… : O

Mi marido cada vez que entraba a mi estudio, miraba mi mesa y no me decía nada,pero sé que hasta él estaba sorprendido con el desorden.

PERO como siempre digo…todo este tumulto de papeles y cosas, significa sólo una cosa: he estado creando!! : D

Mi hijo mayor me sacó esta foto concentrada trabajando  y pensé que aunque borrosa, la compartiría : ) 

Me recordará este momento que vivo y que estoy disfrutando tanto : )

I wouldn´t be able to imagine a better “chaos” that one made with washi tape!

 Even if I find  bits of washi taped to the floor, my clothes and even in my crepes dough!

Now I really dont know how it got there! maybe it was on my sleeve? Well, I did have a good laugh anyway : )

I still have some projects to finish and send everything to California in a few days!

It will all go then to post production! photography, styling, laying out the work, editing and finally printing it!

I really cant wait to see the book once its done!

No podría imaginar mejor caos, que el de estar rodeada de washi tape!

Me encuentro trozos pegados en la ropa,los zapatos e incluso un día en la masa de los crepes!

Seguramente estaría pegado a la manga del vestido! cómo me reí!

Aun tengo proyectos que crear y entregar para luego finalmente

enviar todo a California para la post producción ( fotografía, estilismo, maquetación…etc)

Qué ganas de verlo ya publicado! Aun le falta eso sí! Pero os mantendré informada!! : D
