Y llegó el día por fin! Uno muy soñado:contaros en mi blog acerca de mi libro recién publicado y estrenado :I❤ Stamping

Los que hace tiempo me leéis sabréis que hace ya al menos dos años que lo anuncié.Sin embargo no ha sido hasta hace a penas un mes que se publicó por la editorial Quadrille en Inglaterra.

Qué puedo decir que no supongáis..Es un sueño hecho realidad. Un sueño hecho con mucho trabajo e ilusión.

Un proyecto que tardó exactamente séis años en soñarse,tres en planearse y dos en realizarse.

Quisiera tomarme el tiempo de contaros muchas partes de este proceso tan largo y bonito ( y a veces también difícil).

pero hoy os lo presento sin más y ya en entradas siguientes os cuento los detalles..

And The Day came.At last! A very awaited one: Telling you the great news about my new recently published book: I❤Stamping 

If you have been reading my blog for a while, you probably remember I announced it two years ago. Although, it wasn’t until last 7th of April  that it was published by the english publishing house Quadrille. What can I say ..this has been my most exciting and loved project so far! a big (huge) dream that came true!

One that took me six years to dream , three to plan and two to become real.

I would like to take my time to tell you so many things about this very long and exciting process (and also sometimes hard),but I´l leave it for another post, today I just want to introduce you my book! And here it is:

Este es el libro que siempre quise publicar. El libro de una de mis pasiones: el carvado de sellos.

Un libro que quise que fuera una extensión de mí y de mi trabajo. Tuve siempre claro una cosa: que tenía que ser EXACTAMENTE como yo lo imaginaba .De principio a fin. En tamaño , en formato, en el tipo de papel, de encuadernación…hasta el corazón en rosa neón en la portada,jeje

This is the book I always wanted to publish.The book of one of my greatest passions: Stamp carving.

I wanted it to be an extension of my work and myself. I always new it had to be EXACTLY the way I wanted it. From start to finish.The size, the kind of paper, binding..even the neon pink heart of the cover!! yay!

I❤ Stamping es un libro en el que os enseño  paso a paso a carvar sellos con diseños inspirados en mi amada cultura japonesa.Ya sabéis: kokeshis, flores de cerezo,pandas, conejitos,más kokeshis..; )

I❤ Stamping is a book where I teach you all you need to know about how to make your own stamps inspired by Japanese culture trough out.

Kokeshis( Japanese traditional dolls), cherry blossoms,rabbits,pandas,more kokeshis.. ; )

Pero  no está sólo enfocado en el carvado de sellos. Los proyectos están pensados para las que sois amantes como yo de la papelería bonita hecha a mano y el Snail Mail ( mandar cartas escritas de vuestro puño y letra).

Libretas, tarjetas,postales,etiquetas,carpetas, sobres, etc.

Cada proyecto fue ideado y elegido con mucho cuidado. Quise que todos tuviesen el elemento común de ser bonitos, fáciles de realizar y prácticos.

Resumiendo:ya sea que te guste el carvado de sellos,las manualidades, la estampación,  o te apasiona la papelería bonita, o te inspire Japón..este libro es para tí!

BUT! its not only focused on stamp carving! Because I love stationery SO much, this book is filled with very cute stationery and paper projects:

Cards, writing paper, tags,gift wrapping,envelopes, etc.

Each project was chosen very very carefully and they all have the common thread of being pretty, easy to make and practical!

To resume: if you like stamp carving or crafts in general, if you are passionate about stationery  and love Japan, this book is for you!

 

De momento existe sólo la versión inglesa (publicada por Quadrille) pero para Agosto tendréis la francesa ( editada por Marabout) y la Italiana ( publicada por Mondadori).

Esperemos que haya una versión en castellano ( dedos cruzados) : )
