I dont know if the same thing happens to you, but do you normally get tired of the distribution of your furniture?

It might seam silly, but changing them from place feels like renewing the entire room : )

And that was what I did two weeks ago..

No os pasa a vosotr@s que os cansáis rápidamente de la distribución de los muebles?

Puede parecer una tontería,pero cambiarlos de lugar es como renovar por completo la habitación. : )

Y eso fue lo que hice hace dos semanas..

Finally I can show you today the ceramic pieces I painted about two months ago!!!

It was my first time painting pottery and I enjoyed it SO much. I just felt like home being in that studio with so many creative people painting!

It was so much fun,time just flew by so fast!

Finalmente puedo enseñaros hoy las piezas de cerámica que pinté hace dos meses!!!

Fue la primera vez que pintaba en cerámica y lo disfruté TANTO! Me sentí como en casa en ese estudio rodeada de gente creativa pintando!

They had so many white unglazed pieces to choose from,it was really difficult!

But finally I picked up this tile and a breakfast bowl : )

Tenían tantísimas piezas blancas para elegir y pintar, me costó mucho decidirme!

Pero finalmente escogí este azulejo y un tazón de desayuno : )

Oh the colors…another thing to think about..so many options…why do I always have a hard time making this type of decisions! : P

I finally went for blue, pink and grey! I think its a nice combination, what do you think?

Finalmente elegí el azul, rosa y gris! Creo que es una combinación bonita, qué opináis?

The brushes were really big so the drawing is not very detailed, but waht can I say…I really liked to see a little painting of mine in a pottery piece!

I´m desperately longing to go back again!!!! ; )

Los pinceles eran muy gruesos,por eso  las líneas del dibujo no están muy definidas,pero qué puedo decir…me gustó mucho ver un dibujito mio pintado en cerámica!

Ansío desesperadamente volver a pintar más!!  ;)

I once read something beautiful that said that some people´s work ( on earth) is to show others the beauty of the human soul. There has to be a place for Beauty in the world. To express the soul through artistic endevours  like photography, crafting, styling, cooking, sewing…they are all excuses to bring out our true essence and share it with the world!

These images today fill my heart with joy and show me the beauthy with which we could not live with out!

Una vez leí algo que me encantó..Decía que el “trabajo” de algunas personas era mostrar a otras la belleza del alma humana. Tiene que haber un lugar para la belleza en el mundo.

Para expresar el alma de tantas formas artísticas: fotografía, manualidades, estilismo, cocina, costura, ganchillo..todas ellas son pretextos para sacar nuestra verdadera esencia y compartirla con el mundo!

A friend Recently told me how she was starting to notice how Spring influenced the colors Iwas showing on the blog..

Una amiga me comentó hace unos días que ya notaba como la Primavera me influía en los colores…

YES! Definetly” I want to be surrounded by acid pinks, lemon yellows, and those kind of greens that are very bright!! and all the color I can ! : )

Sí! definitivamente! Quiero rodearme de rosas ácidos,amarillos limón, verdes de esos que hieren los ojos…y todo el color que me sea posible!

Winter is a very nice season,but there comes a time where you are just finished with it…and the only thing you want id for the sun to shine bright! I´ve noticed my self seeking for flower buds on the trees and spotting little bits of color showing up from the grass..

I want  a burst of light, life and color! ♥

El invierno es bonito ,pero llega un momento en que ya no quieres saber nada..sólo quieres que brille el sol con fuerza y te das cuenta como los ojos detectan rápidamente los capullos en flor y los primeros colores que van asomando tímidamente entre las flores! Quiero unaexplosión de luz, de vida y de color!!♥

I love the soft palettes , the neutrals, each color is special and evoques something different..

But in the end I tend to use the bright colors..infused with a soft background so it wont look to saturated.

Me gustan mucho los colores suaves,los pasteles,los neutros, cada paleta evoca algo distinto y especial…

Pero al final me doy cuenta que siempre tiro a los colores brillantes ..pero con un fondo claro para que no resulte tampoco saturado.

I have already bought some flower seeds to plant in Spring! I definetly want color everywhere around me!

We humans are so lucky to live life in color! ♥♥♥♥♥♥

I went to get my tea ant when I came back from the kithcen i saw them playing on my tea cup!

Fui a por mi té y cuando volví de la cocina, las vi revoloteando encima de mi taza..!!

Maybe they wanted some tea too!

Quizá también querían té!

“Hello there!” …..I better not bother them , they seem to be enjoying themselves!

“holaaa!” …Será mejor que no los moleste,parece que se están divirtiendo!

I think I´ll pour my tea somewhere else..

Today the sky is grey and it´s cloudy, but the light in my studio is nice…it gives me a feeling of quietness, calmness, peace..

Hoy el día está gris,el cielo nublado,pero la luz que entra por mi estudio, sigue siendo bonita..da una sensación de quietud, de calma, de paz….

I always say one day I´ll dare (?) to show you a photo of my desk while I´m at work…it´s so incredibly messy!

But I like it, because it means I´ve been creating!

Siempre digo que un día de estos me atreveré (¿?) a enseñaros una foto de mi mesa cuando trabajo..el desorden es asombroso!

Pero me gusta,porque significa que he estado Creando!

Even thought, when I finish I always clean up afterwards and get everything tidy and ready for the next ocassion! A clean desk always invites me to sit down and do something!

Aun así cuando termino, lo recojo y limpio todo y queda listo para la siguiente ocasión! Una mesa limpia siempre me invita a sentarme y hacer algo!

I love this window,with my little stones, bits of wood, ceramic and life, it´s relaxing and at the same time inspiring.

These type of days get me to internalize and good things come out of this as I  get to be more in touch with my self and thats perfect for creating!

Me gusta mucho esta ventana con mis piedras, mis trocitos de madera, de cerámica, de vida…es relajante a la vez que inspirador.

Este tipo de días me vuelven más hacia dentro y buenas cosas salen de este tiempo en el que conecto más conmigo misma;porque es perfecto para crear!

Dear dear friends, How are you? how was your Christmas? Did you visit Family? did you stay at home?

Well, I have to say we spent Christmas in the hospital!! Nothing serious, but Keni suddenly got very ill and so we were told to go see the Dr. A virus..But he is SO much better now!! dancing and singing and laughing around the house, like he normally is!

Now, the one with the virus is me! but after two days, ithink I´m also recovering!

I wanted to tell you I´ll be taking a few days off! I´ll be coming back Next Monday!

In the meantime enjoy your holidays and have fun!!!

Queridas amigas, Cómo estáis? Qué tal vuestra Navidad? Visitastéis a la familia ? os quedásteis en casa?

Yo lo pasé en el hospital! Nada serio,pero Keni se puso de repente muy malito y nos recomedaron llevarlo a un Dr. Un virus…pero ya está muchisimo mejor ! bailando y cantando y riendo por la casa como suele ser!

Ahora la que tiene el virus soy yo! ya llevo un par de días con él y estoy y creo que empiezo a recuperarme!

Quería deciros que me tomaré un par de días y regresaré el próximo Lunes!

Hello! Today I have the pleasure to invite you into my studio. It was the third thing I managed to get ready after the kitchen and my kids bedroom!

I was very excited to dive into this new project for my self, creating a new space for me into which feel inspired and ready to work and so it has! Im very glad to start painting and creating again! the soul needs it!

So here, take a peek into the “before” photo of the room…At the moment you simply dont know what box to open or where to start!

HOla! Hoy quiero mostraros finalmente mi estudio. Es lo tercero que termine en la casa despues de la cocina y la habitacion de mis hijos!

Estaba muy entusiasmada de meterme en este proyecto por unos dias y crear un nuevo espacio para mi en el que sentirme inspirada y lista para trabajar y asi ha sido!

Estoy muy contenta de poder volver a pintar y crear de nuevo! El alma lo necesita!

Asi es que echad un vistazo a la foto del “antes”..En el momento ya no sabes ni que hacer con tantas cajas, por donde empezar..

with a little effort and a quick visit to Ikea for a table and a shelf..you can finally see some good results!

COn un poco de esfuerzo y una rapida visita a Ikea por una mesa y una estanteria finalmente pude ver resultados!

Its such a nice feeling to get your things out of the box!

Se siente tan bien no tener cajas por medio y que tus cosas vean la luz!

The sofa was a cheap buy from the previous tenant. Its perfect for this room, because sometimes when I paint, the kids seat there and pretend to read..ehem. Other times they just jump up and down and play and get wild and crazy and so I have to tell them to go to another room..but its  useless they keep coming back!

El sofa lo compramos muy barato al antiguo arrendatario. Es ideal porque a veces cuando pinto, mis hijos se sientan ahi y hacen como que leen…ejem..Otras veces slatan encima y juegan a peleitas y se vuelven locos y salvajes..entonces les tengo que pedir que se vayan a otra habitacion..pero terminan regresando y la historia se repite!

I fell in love with this chair the moment I saw it at a charity shop for ten pounds. All I did was paint it white and I really like how it looks!

Me enamore de esta silla en una tienda de muebles usados. El dinero de la venta es para caridad. Fueron 10 libras. La pinte y listo, me encanta como se ve!

I didnt know what to use this corner for, until I thought it would be great for having my favorite books in hand.

No sabia que hacer con esta esquina, hasta que pense que podria estar bien para colocar mis libros favoritos  y tenerlos a mano.
My studio was actually the dinning room. The living room and kitchen is right beside it…but since the living room is big enough for having there the dining table, I could keep this room! yay!

Mi estudio era en realidad el comedor. Como podeis ver en la foto, la cocina y el salon estan al lado,pero como es lo suficientemente grande, pude quedarme el estudio para mi! bien! : )

The living room is just in the same room as the kitchen or vice versa…I love this because I have a view from the garden, lots of sunny light and I can always be with the kids while I cook!

El sal’on esta en la misma habitacion que la cocina o viceversa…Me encanta esto porque puedo ver el jardin, hay mucha luz y puedo estar con los peques mientras cocino!

Por cierto, quiza, los que las conozcais os abran llamado la atencion…las banderillas del jardin fueron un regalo que le hicieron a mi hijo mayor en Escocia. Son banderillas tibetanas de oraciones. Dicen que cuando sopla el viento, los mantras escritos en ellas, traen. bendiciones.podeis leer mas sobre ello aqui.

El estudio ya esta casi listo! os lo mostrare la semana que viene!!! que emocion!

Finally ,after four weeks living here in the UK we found our house!!! After viewing so many..(.I cant really remember the number of houses and flats we have visited), we found the right one for us.

Its a very nice house! The kitchen is lovely, the bathroom, livingroom…and it even has a small garden! something I ‘ve been dreaming about for sometime now! Cant wait to plant some flowers! And maybe even a small apple tree! who knows! But the best part, is that I have a study of my own! It has a very nice size and big windows…its so lovely there! I cant sleep thinking about it. Not only decorate it,but start painting again !I miss my watercolors! The only thing I dont like is that we will have to wait from two to three weeks to move in. : (  So I cant show you any pictures yet…

In the meantime,Ii’ll start gathering some ideas of rooms and studies I like…What do you think? Arent these pretty and best of all, Inspiring?

Por fin! Despues de cuatro semanas en Inglaterra hemos encontrado Casa!!!! Despues de ver tantas…ya hasta perdi la cuenta de las casas que hemos visitado! Nos ha costado,pero al fin la hemos encontrado!

Es una casa muy bonita! la cocina, el baño, el salon..e incluso tiene un pequeño jardin! Algo con lo que he soñado desde hace mucho tiempo. Que ganas de ponerme a plantar flores! e incluso un arbolito de manzanas..ya se vera! Pero la mejor parte es que tendre un estudio propio. Es decir toda una habitacion! jaja! Tiene tres ventanas muy grandes..esta muy bonito! Que ganas de decorarlo! lo malo que la casa nos la dan en un par de semanas! buaa! asi es que a esperar y desarrollar la paciencia!!! Hasta entonces no os podre enseñar fotos de la casa…

Mientras tanto comenzare a reunir ideas de habitaciones o estudios que me gustan..que opinais ? no son bonitas e inspiradoras!!?

I have always cherised the idea of “hanging” photos on a rope or whire! these are just lovely!

Siempre me ha gustado la idea de colgar fotos de una cuerda ! Estan son preciosas!

The space of this rooms speaks a lot to me. The light coming through that window, the bits of yellow, and the flowers..always so fresh and necessary!

El espacio en general de esta habitacion me dice mucho. La luz, los toques de color, y el toque de las flores por la habitacion..siempre tan bonito y  necesario!

I noticed I like soft color palettes, neutrals ,white, and wood, along with some color scattered around the room.

Its the perfect balance. A relaxed space thanks to white and neutrals, some warmth given by the wood, and some color. The body must be relaxed, but the mind active and fresh.

Me doy cuenta que me declino por tonos suaves, blancos y madera con chispitas de color esparcidas por la habitacion, en forma de cojines, lamparas, cuadros..

Es una buena manera de crear un espacio relajado, gracias al blanco,pero a la vez dinamico gracias al color. Ideal para un estudio.

Digamos que es una idea equilibrada. Quiza demasiado blanco me dormiria..y hay que trabajar..pero mucho color me saturaria y la mente debe estar fresca!

This is so lovely too! And the thing I like about white is that is like a white canvas in which you can make as many variations as you like. Just by changing the curtains, cushions and pillows, art on the walls…and create different spaces and moods any time you like.

Esto es muy bonito! y lo que me gusta del blanco es que es como un lienzo…en blanco…es decir que solo con cambiar el color de las cortinas, los cojines, los cuadros, puedes tener “diferentes” habitaciones siempre que te apetezca cambiar.

Again, white and color…and the light! Theres nothing better than light coming fresh early in the morning trhough the window, or warm and golden in the evening to keep you inspired at every moment.

Notice I havent mentioned the light or better yet, heat, that comes trhough the window in summer…hahah, thats too much “light”.

Well, these are some of the ideas I’d like for my new studio. Since I still have time, I’ll consider carefully what I want and need for creating a serene and cosy room, not spending much and using creativity and imagination instead.Is not what you have , is how you use it right?

De nuevo, blanco y colores…y luz! no hay nada mejor que la luz, entrando fresca por la ventana en las mananas o calida y dorada al atardecer para sentirse inspirada en todo momento.( Notese que no menciono la del mediodia ..en verano…que te asa dentro de la casa como un pollo…jaja)

Bueno, pues estas son algunas ideas que tengo para mi nuevo estudio. Como aun tengo tiempo, ire pensando poco a poco lo que quiero, crear un espacio , sereno y acogedor, gastando poco y utilizando la creatividad e imaginacion . Al final no es lo que tienes, sino como lo utilizas.
