Not so long ago I had the inmmense pleasure of receiving a super lovely letter from a friend…It is so beautiful I just had to share!

No hace mucho recibí una carta de una amiga.Una carta preciosa! tanto es así que tenía que enseñárosla!

I was smittened by all the cute details..the envelope  made of tracing paper.,the bits of washi tape , the stamps!! Oh my the stamps!

Me quedé prendada de todos los detallitos..Los trocitos de washi tape, el sobre que era de papel cebolla y los sellos! creo que nunca había visto unos tan bonitos!

Weekend Wishes..Because its always nice to end the week wishing something sweet.

And it just occurred to me..hmm what if we ended the week playing a little game? I think we all like them!

Today we will start a chain of good wishes  I say! : D

And I´ll start wishing you lots and lots of joy! The kind of joy that warms the heart and expands it!

What you will have to do next is write an email to a friend wishing them something lovely for this weekend!

Then that person will have to do the same and on and on the chain will go..

A weekend really filled with lovely wishes for everyone!

Deseos del fin de semana…Porque siempre es bonito terminar la semana con un buen deseo para todos.

Y se me ocurre ahora mismo…y si hacemos un juego..? jeje creo que a todos nos gustan!

Hoy haremos una cadena de buenos deseos para el fin de semana!!

Yo os desearé mucha,muchísima alegría! De esa que calienta el corazón y lo expande!

Vosotros tenéis luego que escribirle a alguien ( a quien queráis) un mail deseándole algo  bonito para este fin de semana .Una frase corta y sencilla.

Esa persona tiene que hacer lo mismo y así sucesivamente!

Un fin de semana lleno realmente de buenos deseos!!

Its not raining here,but if it did..I´d like to imagine each little raindrop has personality like we do and they think different things.

And even though I didn´t chose this image on purpose for the “chain of good wishes” idea ,I think its very appropiate as a methapor!

Being like a sweet little raindrop which by its self its not capable of much, but together, with other raindrops, is capable of turning the fields green and fresh and make everything blossom!

Would you like to become a little raindrop today ? ; ) ♥

Por aquí no llueve,pero si lloviese ahora mismo, me gustaría imaginar que cada gotita tiene personalidad y piensas cosas distintas.

Y aunque no he elegido esta foto intencionadamente con la idea de la cadena de deseos, pienso que es una bella metáfora de nosotros mismos.

Ser cada uno como una gotita dulce y alegre que por sí misma no es quizá capaz de mucho,pero junto con otras gotitas puede regar  los campos, volverlos verdes y frescos y lograr que todo florezca !: )

Como estamos en Inglaterra mis hijos no tienen vacaciones y van al cole,..así es que un día de lo más “normal”.Bueno, espero al menos que se vayan contentos ; )

Retomando el post del Lunes y hablando de esas cosas sencillas que alegran el corazón..aquí os comparto una de mis favoritas..

El bokeh en las fotos me hace soñar!Sobretodo cuando las luces vienen acompañadas de fondos coloridos como éste : )

Christmas is a wonderful time to practice the bokeh! Remember, in manual, focus something really close to the camera,

and then, without lifting the button, focus to the lights!On Auto just unfocus the lights ; )

Navidad es una época ideal para practicar el bokeh! Recordad: enfocad primero algo muy cercano al lente de la cámara y luego levantándola

sin dejar de pulsar el botón suavemente, enfocad las luces a lo lejos..Así es en modo automático ,en modo manual,simplemente desenfocad las luces ; )

La semana pasada tuve el honor de ser una bloguera invitada en el blog de mi amiga Suze!

Its a dutch cookie recepie! the classic all spiced cookies! They have always been my favorites!

And when I found this miffy cookie cutter I just couldn´t resist baking a few!

Se trata de una receta de galletas holandesas! las clásicas galletas especiadas que llevan canela, nuez moscada…siempre han sido de mis favoritas!

Y cuando encontré los moldes de miffy ya no me pude resistir a hacer una horneada!

Procedure:

Cream butter and sugar. Add remaining ingredients and mix, adding enough flour to form a very stiff dough. Chill for 2 to4 hours. After that time, Cut the cookies and

place on cookie sheet and bake at 350º F. for 8 to 10 minutes.

♥ Receta traducida:

Ingredientes: 2 tazas de azúcar morena, 1 1/2 de mantequilla, 3 a 4 tazas de harina, 1 huevo batido, 1 cucharita de sal, 1 chucharita  de bicarbonato, 1  chucharita de canela, 3/4 de cuchara de clavo, 1/2 de nuez moscada, 1/2 de jengibre. Luego dice 1/2 de “all spice” que es una mezcla ya hecha que venden y que lleva un poco de todo ( canela, clavo,etc) ,pero podéis prescindir de ella. Yo lo hice y quedaron perfectas!

♥Procedimiento:

Batir la mantequilla con el azúcar. Añadir el resto de los ingredientes y mezclar.Tiene que resultar una masa compacta y a la vez suave. Envolver en una bolsa de plástico y enfriar en la nevera de 2 a 4 horas. Transcurridoe se tiempo  ya se pueden hacer las galletas. Se hornean de 8 a 10 minutos a 175 º grados.

The cookies came out so cute it was a shame to actually eat them ; )!  How about you ? have you made some xmas cookies yet?

Las galletas quedaron buenísimas! aunque eran tan monas que daba pena comérselas! y qué tal vosotr@s? habéis hecho ya galletas de Navidad?

I wasn´t kidding when I said last time I had at least made a dozen of japanese book binding notebooks !

No bromeaba cuando dije la última vez que había hecho al menos una docena de libros con encuadernación japonesa : )

I love stickers!  When I was a little girl I use to collect them.My favorites were the ones that smelled when you scratched them! strawberry, chocolate, bannana…

I dont collect stickers any more,but I do like to have a few for my craft proyects or for sticking them to the letters I send : )

Me encantan las pegatinas! Cuando era pequeña las coleccionaba. Mis favoritas eran las que olían cuando las rascabas! Fresa, chocolate,plátano..

Ya no las colecciono pero me gusta tener unas cuantas para éste tipo de manualidades o para pegar en los sobres de las cartas que envío : )

I would love to design stickers my self!! who knows…maybe one day : )

The last two notebooks above were presents for my tow sons!

They seemed to like them, but now they are just sitting there…I hope they get to use them someday ..soon!

I´ll keep making more! I´ll show them to you soon! and even perhaps I´ll give one away. would you like that? : )

I like to work by the window, because I get somuch light, and Ilove light! I need light! light makes me so happy!

This is not actually my deesk, but an old cabinet i got at the flea market and painted it white.

So I placed this one right nextt o my desk and by the window.

Me gusta trabajar al lado de la ventana,porque obtengo mucha luz y me encanta la luz! necesito la luz! me hace muy feliz!
