Dear blog readers, I have some very exciting and important news to share with you today!!

Well, first of all let me tell you I wont be here tomorrow. I´m taking a little break and enjoying some summer time! But even though I´m returning on Monday, I wont be blogging because guess what? I´m moving! Overseas. Next week. where???!! To England!! I know I should have told you before but I wanted to be sure  we were really moving. I have had my doubts. I´m very happy living in Aranjuez but it was time for a change. And the good part is that everything is turning out pretty good, which gives me peace of mind!

Right now my house is filled with thousands ( ok, just  a couple of dozens) of boxes! I´m exhausted! but happy at the same time.

So, so, so,so….I ´ll return to blog in two weeks! I´ll miss this tiny loving space of mine and of course  I´ll miss you! But I´ll love to share my new adventure when I get back!

See you in two weeks ! have fun and take care!!!  ; )

Antes que nada dejadme deciros que no estaré aquí mañana. Me tomo unas pequeñas, pequeñitas, vacaciones. Me voy al bosque!!! Y aunque regreso el Lunes, no me será posible escribir ningún post! por que sabéis qué? Me mudo!!! la próxima semana. A  INGLATERRA!!! Me hubiera encantado compartir la noticia antes,pero quería estar segura! He tenido mis dudas. Estoy muy contenta en mi querido Aranjuez pero supongo que era hora de un cambio. Lo bueno y que me da ánimos es que todo está saliendo muy bien, y esto me da paz y tranquilidad.

Ahora mismo mi casa está llena de miles( bueno, no tantas) cajas!! Estoy exhausta! pero contenta al mismo tiempo.

Así es que regresaré en dos semanas si todo sale bien-(porsupuestoquesaldrabienmedigoamimisma)Echaré de menos este pequeño y querido espacio mío.Pero me encantará compartir la nueva aventura una vez que esté ahí!Cuidaros mucho y pasadlo bien!!!!!! nos vemos en dos semanas eh? ; )

It´s been a long time since I used my watercolors. Lately I had just been illustrating with illustrator, which means using only the computer!

But good things happen for a reason, and some I find quite interesting. My computer broke about a month ago. So I couldn´t use illustrator any more. And since I always have an urge to create-in this case paint- I had to undust my watercolors! and  I´m  so glad Idid because I had so much fun-hours and hours of painting – and came up with some very funny characters, like this cat and some birdies. He´s a musical cat. He likes to dance until the wee hours of the morning. Come say hello! he will LOVE to meet you!

Ha pasado mucho tiempo desde que utilicé mis acuarelas. Últimamente sólo dibujaba con illustrator, lo que significa utilizar el ordenador!

Pero las cosas pasan por algún motivo y algunas son bastante divertidas e interesantes.Resulta que se me estropeó el ordenador como hace un mes y no me quedó más remedio que calmar mis ansias de hacer algo creativo-en este caso pintar- desenpolvando mis acuarelas. Y qué bien que lo hice porque me divertí tanto..horas y horas pintando varios personajes graciosos, como este gatito y los pajaritos. Es un gatito musical, al que le gusta bailar hasta las tantas de la mañana. Pasad a saludarlo! le encantará conoceros!

Hello!!! how are you? how was your weekend? did you rest? went out? had fun? I personally spent the weekend at home. Keni had a fever, but he is feeling better now.

Hola! Qué tal estáis? qué tal vuestro fin de semana? descansasteis? salisteis? os divertisteis? Yo me quedé en casa cuidando a Keni que ha tenido fiebre, pero ya está mejor.

Estoy contenta de poder comenzar una nueva semana. y compartir muchas cosas con vosotros, como estas imágenes para hoy. Necesitaba ver un poco de “frescor”. El calor por aquí es ahora mismo insoportable. Rápido! que alguien me lleve a un bosque! :  D

Eight years have gone by since I had my little boy! Today is his birhtday!

and he gently set up a list of all the yummy things he wanted to eat today! Starting for  breakfast: churros with chocolate! He is such a wonderful kid! smart, wise, funny, sweet and so caring for his little brother. I feel blessed to have him as my son.  And oh so happy to share this life with him : )

Ocho años han pasado ya desde que tuve mi primer hijito!! Y hoy es cu cumpleaños!

Gentilmente ha escrito una lista de las cosas ricas que quiere comer hoy! Empezando para desayunar: churros con chocolate! Es un niños tan lindo!listo, divertido, dulce y quiere tanto a su hermanito pequeño! Me siento bendecida por tenerlo como hijo y tan feliz de compartir esta vida con él!

I dont like to write about things other blogs I read recently did, but in this case I had to make an exception because I fell in love with this short video directed by Arkuno Kecil with music composed by David Kamp. It has all the ingredients to make me feel inside a  wonderful dream. It´s so delicate and touching and extremly beautiful..what else can  I say? I wish it lastet longer,but perhaps in its short length resides also its beauty, resembling with the haiku japanese poems. Here it is, allow your self to immerse in a magic dream just for a moment! enjoy !

Normalmente no me gusta escribir sobre cosas que otros blog que leo han hablado recientemente,pero en este caso tuve que hacer una excepción porque me enamoré de este video dirigido por Arkuno Kecil con música de David Kamp . Tiene todos los ingredientes para hacerte creer que estás dentro de un maravilloso sueño. Es tan sumamente delicado y hermoso..qué más puedo decir?  que ojalá durase más! Pero quizás en su brevedad  radique también su belleza, acorde a los poemas haikus japoneses. Aquí os lo dejo, sumergiros en él como si de un mágico sueño se tratase y  disfrutadlo!!!!

Friday is here! yay!

To wrap up this week  I want to share with you today some of the works of my favorite artists. They are incredibly talented and inspiring to me. I´m sure you´ll love them too. Just to watch  these for a moment every day ,filles me with energy and joy to start a new project or a new day and think what can I do today that can be creative?

Las night I ended up drawing until 1 in the morning..I just had to finish a lovely whale I´ll show  you next week if you want to

Para terminar esta semana quiero compartir con vosotros algunos de los trabajos de mis artistas favoritos. Tienen tanto talento y me inspiran muchísimo, estoy segura que a vosotros también. Mirar a estos dibujos por un momento cada día me llena de energía y alegría. Me dan ganas de dibujar y comenzar un nuevo proyecto. Necesito “crear” algo por pequeño que sea cada día.

Anoche me acostó a la 1 de la mañana terminando una ballenita a lápiz que espero enseñaros la próxima semana si queréis.

Decidme, cuál es vuestro favorito?

There are days like today, where the usual rhythm  of the blog seem to be interrupted by the ordinary things of life.

Like having to go to the bank first thing in the morning, getting someone to fix the fridge, having visits at home ( and all that it  implies). This blog however is the space i share  and try to write about the things I love that make me happy. The best parts of me are in this blog. And even though I may have a sad or blurry day i still dont try to get it over me and I write about what makes me feel better. It always works and is a great therapy!

I have a friend who has just started the new blogging adventure and I tell her that is almost like having a newborn at home in a sense that in order to watch him grow strong and healthy  you have to treat him with love, patience..

This day has been one of those days that even though it just started I´m exhausted!

I wish you however dear friends a lovely day!!

Hay días como los de hoy, en  que la dinámica habitual del blog se ve interrumpida por las cosas del  día a día. Como tener que arreglar unos papeles en el  banco, llamar a un técnico para que venga a reparar la nevera, visitas en casa ( y todo lo que ello implica)… Este blog sin embargo es mi espacio para compartir y plasmar lo mejor de mí. Aunque tenga días tristes, me esfuerzo por escribir sobre lo que me hace feliz y siempre es una buena terapia.

Tengo una amiga que ha comenzado la aventura del blog y le digo es como tener un hijo recién nacido que si quieres que crezca fuerte y sano debes cuidarlo con amor, esmero, atención y verlo crecer poco a poco con paciencia e ilusión. Así lo veo yo.

Así es que éste ha sido uno de esos días en los que aunque comience, parece que la energía no te da para más!

Os deseo que paséis un excelente día y para los que estéis muy acalorados os mando una brisa fresca y reconfortante!

I thought it would be very fun to share with you today the “photo session” of my blog´s header.

Just a few pics of how it was made..

1.- the first thing I needed was a background so I tried using this white cardboard. I´ve always love hanging ropes, so this tiny clothespins were sure to make it!

He pensado que hoy os mostraría la “sesión de fotos” de la cabecera de mi blog.

Algunas imágenes que cómo se hizo..

1.- Lo primero es encontrar un fondo apropiado para que no se vea la pared. Y la cuerdita de tender la ropa, con las pinzas..siempre me ha encantado.

2.- I gathered a few things I had at home that I thought would look nice, like the wooden spools with the bakers twine, a little red bench..and the first “model” showed up. Her name is Lily. She was very excited to participate, but…

2.- Reunir las cositas que quería poner en el escenario como carretes de madera para los hilos de colores, un banquito rojo de barro, el dedal. Y aquí vemos a la primera “modelo” que apareció. Su nombre es Lily. Estaba muy emocionada de participar,pero..

There where other models too she had to compete with, like Claudia..a very happy girl .

tenía que competir con otras modelos, como Claudia, una niña muy alegre.

And our third option, little “apple pie”..you all know her very well!

y nuestra tercera opción, “pequeña pastel de manzana”..todos la conocéis bien!

And so she finally was the chosen one! her green tights are just too cute! not to mention the apple she has on her dress. She was very  quiet, but sweet too! So after displaying all the wooden spools, choosing a better background, changing the clothespin line for a improvised garland with fabric triangles .oh! and the metallic watering can.etc, this is what the final photo looked like:

Finalmente ella fue la elegida! Sus medias verdes eran demasiado monas! sin mencionar la manzana de su vestido. Era muy callada,pero dulce. Así es que después de montarlo todo con los carretes, un mejor fondo, y cambiar la cuerda de tender la ropa por una mini banderilla con triangulitos de tela que improvisé…ah! y añadir la regadera metálica del Belén… etc, así fue como quedó la foto que utilicé:

And to wrap it up a little photo editing..That it! this is the story behind my header!!! I hope you liked it!! it was super fun to write this!!

I´m always inspired by light and the wonderers of nature.  I Would really love to be surrounded right now by trees and have nice ( and refreshing) walk on the countryside. Thank´s to these beautiful photos of flickr friends I can close my eyes and imagine for a moment I´m there. : ) Wishing you  all  a lovely Monday! : )

Siempre me siento inspirada por los diferentes matices de la luz y las maravillas de la naturaleza. Me encantaría estar rodeada ahora mismo de árboles y dar un agradable ( y fresco) paseo por el campo.
