Big news- La gran noticia

Dear blog readers, I have some very exciting and important news to share with you today!!

Well, first of all let me tell you I wont be here tomorrow. I´m taking a little break and enjoying some summer time! But even though I´m returning on Monday, I wont be blogging because guess what? I´m moving! Overseas. Next week. where???!! To England!! I know I should have told you before but I wanted to be sure we were really moving. I have had my doubts. I´m very happy living in Aranjuez but it was time for a change. And the good part is that everything is turning out pretty good, which gives me peace of mind!

Right now my house is filled with thousands ( ok, just a couple of dozens) of boxes! I´m exhausted! but happy at the same time.

So, so, so,so….I ´ll return to blog in two weeks! I´ll miss this tiny loving space of mine and of course I´ll miss you! But I´ll love to share my new adventure when I get back!

See you in two weeks ! have fun and take care!!! ; )

Antes que nada dejadme deciros que no estaré aquí mañana. Me tomo unas pequeñas, pequeñitas, vacaciones. Me voy al bosque!!! Y aunque regreso el Lunes, no me será posible escribir ningún post! por que sabéis qué? Me mudo!!! la próxima semana. A INGLATERRA!!! Me hubiera encantado compartir la noticia antes,pero quería estar segura! He tenido mis dudas. Estoy muy contenta en mi querido Aranjuez pero supongo que era hora de un cambio. Lo bueno y que me da ánimos es que todo está saliendo muy bien, y esto me da paz y tranquilidad.

Ahora mismo mi casa está llena de miles( bueno, no tantas) cajas!! Estoy exhausta! pero contenta al mismo tiempo.

Así es que regresaré en dos semanas si todo sale bien-(porsupuestoquesaldrabienmedigoamimisma)Echaré de menos este pequeño y querido espacio mío.Pero me encantará compartir la nueva aventura una vez que esté ahí!Cuidaros mucho y pasadlo bien!!!!!! nos vemos en dos semanas eh? ; )

I´m slowy reading a wonderful book written by Clarissa pinkola Estes called Women who run with the wolves. Have you read it? do you know it?

It´s an amazing book in which the author narrates stories using multicultural myths, fairy tales and folk tales of the Wild Woman archetype.

Here´s a poem I´m sure you´ll love and maybe even feel identify! I know I am! Its beautiful! a bit long for blogging perhaps, but totally worht it! I promise!

The wolfs eyelash

If you don’t go out in the woods, nothing will ever happen and your life will never begin.

“Don’t go out in the woods, don’t go out,” they said.

“Why not? Why should I not go out in the woods tonight?” she asked.

“A big wolf lives there who eats humans such as you. Don’t go out in the woods, don’t go out. We mean it.”

Naturally she went out. She went out in the woods anyway, and of course she met the wolf, just as they had warned her.

“See, we told you,” they crowed.

“This is my life, not a fairy tale, you dolts,” she said. “I have to go to the woods, and I have to meet the wolf, or else my life will never begin.”

But the wolf she encountered was in a trap, in a trap this wolf’s leg was in.

“Help me, oh help me! Aieeeee, aieeee, aieeee!” cried the wolf. “Help me, oh help me!” he cried, “and I shall reward you justly.” For this is the way of wolves in tales of this kind.

“How do I know you won’t harm me?” she asked–it was her job to ask questions. “How do I know you will not kill me and leave me lying in my bones?”

“Wrong question,” said this wolf. “You’ll just have to take my word for it.” And the wolf began to cry and wail once again and more.

“Oh, aieee! Aieeee! Aieeee!

There’s only one question

worthy asking fair maiden,

wooooooooor

aieeeee th’

soooooooool?”

“Oh you wolf, I will take a chance. Alright, here!” And she sprang the trap and the wolf drew out its paw and this she bound with herbs and grasses.

“Ah, thank you kind maiden, thank you,” sighed the wolf. And because she had read too many of the wrong kind of tales, she cried, “Go ahead and kill me now, and let us get this over with.”

But no, this did not come to pass. Instead this wolf put his paw upon her arm.

“I’m a wolf from another time and place,” said he. And plucking a lash from his eye, he gave it to her and said, “Use this, and be wise. From now on you will know who is good and not so good; just look through my eyes and you will see clearly.

For letting me live,
I bid you live
in a manner as never before.
Remember, there is only one question

And so she went back to her village,
happy to still have her life.
And this time as they said,

and she saw that her suitor
was so good for exactly nothing.
And in this way and more,
she was saved,
from not all,
but from many,
misfortunes.
And she saw those who were truly kind
and went near to them,
she found her mate
and stayed all the days of her life,
she discerned the brave
and came close to them,
she apprehended the faithful
and joined with them,
she saw bewilderment under anger
and hastened to sooth it,
she saw love in the eyes of the shy
and reached out to them,
she saw suffering in the stiff-lipped

This is how she learned that it is true what they say, that the wolf is the wisest of all. If you listen closely, the wolf in its howling is always asking the most important question- not where is the next food, not where is the next fight, not where is the next dance?-

Estoy leyendo un libro maravilloso de Clarissa pinkola Estés que se llama Mujeres que corren con lobos. ¿Lo conocéis? ¿Lo habéis leido alguna?

Es un libro increíble en el que la autora narra cuentos utilizando mitos multiculturales, cuentos de hadas y otros populares del arquetipo de la mujer salvaje.

Aquí hay un poema que estoy segura os va a encantar! es un poco largo para poner en un blog quizás, pero merece la pena leerlo hasta el final, os lo prometo!

La pestaña del lobo

Si no sales al bosque, jamás ocurrirá nada
y tu vida jamás empezará

-No salgas al bosque, no salgas- dijeron ellos.
-¿Por qué no? ¿Por qué no tengo que salir al bosque esta noche?- preguntó ella.
-En el bosque habita un enorme lobo que se come a las personas como tú. No salgas al bosque, no salgas por lo que más quieras.
Pero, naturalmente, ella salió al bosque y, como era de esperar, se encontró con el Lobo, tal como ellos le habían advertido.
-¿Lo ves? Ya te lo decíamos- graznaron.
-Eso es mi vida, no un cuento de hadas, zopencos – replicó ella -.
Tengo que ir al bosque y encontrarme con el lobo; de lo contrario, mi vida jamás podrá empezar.
Pero el lobo que ella encontró había caído en una trampa, se le había quedado la pata prendida en un cepo.
-¡Socorro, auxilio! ¡Ay, ay, ay! – gritaba el lobo – . ¡Socorro, ayúdame y te daré la justa recompensa! – añadió.
Porque eso es lo que hacen los lobos en los cuentos de esta clase.
- ¿ Y cómo sé yo que no me vas a hacer daño? – le preguntó ella, pues su misión era hacer preguntas – . ¿Cómo sé yo que no me matarás y me dejarás reducida a los puros huesos?
- Mala pregunta – dijo el lobo-. Tendrás que confiar en mi palabra.
- Y el lobo reanudó sus aullidos y lamentos.

¡ Ay! ¡Ay! ¡Ay!
Sólo hay una pregunta
que merece la pena hacer, hermosa doncella,
¿dóooonde está
el
almaaaaaaa ?
- Oh, lobo, voy a correr el riesgo. ¡Vamos allá!
Abrió la trampa, el lobo sacó la pata y ella se la envolvió con hierbas medicinales y plantas.
- Oh, gracias, dulce doncella, mil gracias – dijo el lobo, lanzando un suspiro.
Pero, como había leído demasiados cuentos que no debía, ella exclamó:
- Bueno, ahora ya puedes matarme, anda, terminemos de una vez.
Pero no fue eso lo que ocurrió. En su lugar, el lobo alargó la pata y se la apoyó en el brazo.
- Soy un lobo de otro tiempo y lugar – dijo. Y, arrancándose una pestaña del ojo, se la entregó diciendo -: Úsala y procura ser sabia. De ahora en delante sabrás quién es bueno y quién no lo es tanto. Mira a través de mi ojo y lo verás todo con claridad.

Por dejarme vivir,
te ofrezco vivir
como jamás en tu vida has vivido.
Recuerda que sólo hay una pregunta
que merece la pena hacer, hermosa doncella,
¿dóooonde está
el
almaaaaaa?

Y así la doncella regresó a la aldea,
alegrándose de estar viva.
Y esta vez cuando ellos le dijeron,
“Quédate aquí y cásate conmigo”,
o “Haz lo que te digo”,
o “Di lo que yo quiero que digas,
pero que todo quede tan en secreto
como el día en que viniste”,
la doncella tomó la pestaña del lobo
miró a través de ella
y vio sus motivos
tal como jamás los había visto.
Y a la vez en que
el carnicero pesó la carne
ella miró a través de la pestaña del lobo
y vio que pesaba también su pulgar.
Y miró al pretendiente
que le decía “Soy el que te conviene”,
y vio que no le convenía para nada.
Y de esa manera y muchas más
se salvó
no de todas
pero sí de muchas
desgracias.

Pero, además, con esta nueva visión, no sólo vio al astuto y al cruel sino que el corazón se le hizo inmensamente grande, pues miraba a las personas y las volvía a calibrar gracias al don que le había otorgado el lobo al que ella había salvado.

Y vio a los que eran verdaderamente buenos
y se acercó a ellos,
encontró a su compañero
y permaneció a su lado todos los días de su vida,
percibió a los valeroso
y se acercó a ellos,
captó a los fieles
y se unió a ellos,
vio perplejidad por debajo de la cólera
y se apresuró a disiparla,
vio amor en los ojos de los tímidos
y se inclinó hacia ellos,
vio sufrimiento en los callados
y cortejó su risa,
vio necesidad en el hombre sin palabras
y le habló,
vio fe en lo más hondo de la mujer
que afirmaba no tenerla
y se la volvió a encender con la suya.
Vio todas las cosas
con la pestaña del lobo,
todas las cosas verdaderas
y todas las cosas falsas,
todas las cosas que iban contra la vida,
y todas las cosas que iban a favor de la vida,
todas las cosas que sólo podían verse
a través de los ojos de aquel
que pesa el corazón con el corazón,
y no sólo con la mente.

Así descubrió que era cierto lo que dicen, que el lobo es la más sabia de las criaturas. Si prestas atención, el lobo cuando aúlla hace siempre la pregunta más importante, no dónde está el alimento más próximo, la pelea más próxima o la danza más próxima,

sino la pregunta más importante
para ver dentro y detrás,
para sopesar el valor de todo lo que vive,
¿ dóooonde
estáaaa el
almaaaa?
¿Dónde está el alma?

Sal al bosque, sal enseguida. Si no sales al bosque,
jamás ocurrirá nada y tu vida no empezará jamás.

Hello kitty!

It´s been a long time since I used my watercolors. Lately I had just been illustrating with illustrator, which means using only the computer!

But good things happen for a reason, and some I find quite interesting. My computer broke about a month ago. So I couldn´t use illustrator any more. And since I always have an urge to create-in this case paint- I had to undust my watercolors! and I´m so glad Idid because I had so much fun-hours and hours of painting – and came up with some very funny characters, like this cat and some birdies. He´s a musical cat. He likes to dance until the wee hours of the morning. Come say hello! he will LOVE to meet you!

Ha pasado mucho tiempo desde que utilicé mis acuarelas. Últimamente sólo dibujaba con illustrator, lo que significa utilizar el ordenador!

Pero las cosas pasan por algún motivo y algunas son bastante divertidas e interesantes.Resulta que se me estropeó el ordenador como hace un mes y no me quedó más remedio que calmar mis ansias de hacer algo creativo-en este caso pintar- desenpolvando mis acuarelas. Y qué bien que lo hice porque me divertí tanto..horas y horas pintando varios personajes graciosos, como este gatito y los pajaritos. Es un gatito musical, al que le gusta bailar hasta las tantas de la mañana. Pasad a saludarlo! le encantará conoceros!

Eight years!

Eight years have gone by since I had my little boy! Today is his birhtday!

and he gently set up a list of all the yummy things he wanted to eat today! Starting for breakfast: churros with chocolate! He is such a wonderful kid! smart, wise, funny, sweet and so caring for his little brother. I feel blessed to have him as my son. And oh so happy to share this life with him : )

Ocho años han pasado ya desde que tuve mi primer hijito!! Y hoy es cu cumpleaños!

Gentilmente ha escrito una lista de las cosas ricas que quiere comer hoy! Empezando para desayunar: churros con chocolate! Es un niños tan lindo!listo, divertido, dulce y quiere tanto a su hermanito pequeño! Me siento bendecida por tenerlo como hijo y tan feliz de compartir esta vida con él!

Oh I´m loving this palette of colors today! White, mustard and turquoise…arent they lovely? I know its too soon to think about xmas presents, but I´m already gathering some ideas for my sisters, specially the younger one who is studing this year in France. I´m thinking of sending her a surprise present as soon as I get her address ( hopefully you are not reading this Athenea!) ; )
