Mi dear Nature bunnies screen printed on this organic cotton totes.It couldn´t be the other way around! : D

It really was a hard decision to choose from so many designs I created! At least ten! but these were the ones I immediately loved!

Then I had to find a place where they screenprinted them and Of course I wanted the bags to be made our of organic cotton…so more waiting…But, even though it has been a long wait, I feel so happy to have them here with me! Its so nice to see your dreams manifest after so much effort! One has to keep focused and of course motivated!

POR FIN!! HAN LLEGADO!! Me ha llevado tanto tiempo de trabajo y espera,pero por fin los tengo en mis manos!

¡¡¡Mis bolsos!!! Con orgullo y mucha alegría os los presento!!

Mis queridos conejitos de la naturaleza impresas en estas bolsas de algodón orgánico!!no podía ser de otra manera! : D

Me ha costado mucho decidirme entre 10 diseños diferentes y cada vez creaba más y más confusa estaba. Al final estos conejitos que surgieron por la inspiración de la naturaleza son los que fueron los ganadores. Luego tenia que encontrar un sitio donde los serigrafiaran y la tela que fuera de algodón orgánico…más espera..presupuestos..en fin..se ha hecho largo,por eso al recibir la caja hace unos días con mis bolsos es que me he llenado de felicidad. Es el fruto un largo proceso que se materializa.Qué bonito cuando después de tanto esfuerzo logramos lo que deseamos.Pero hay que perseverar y no perder el objetivo ni la ilusión.

Hello! Happy Monday!!

oh, Im sorry I missed fridays post, but I had such a terribly busy day I coudlnt get on the computer!! Imagine having a  birthday party,  a three hour train ride,  a workshops..all on the same day! phew! I got home that night so tired! but feeling happy for all the things acomplished! I was looking forward to this monday and share with you lots of great things this week! starting with these lovely photos that are surely inspiring to me. Siento haberme perdido el post del viernes,pero tuve un día tan increiblemente ocupado que me fue imposible abrir el ordenador! Imaginad un cumpleaños, un viaje de tres horas en tren, un taller…todo en el mismo día! llegue a casa agotadisima en la noche!Pero contenta por todo lo que había hecho. Tenía ganas de empezar el Lunes y compartir con vosotros muchas cosas divertidas.Como estas fotos tan bonitas que me inspiran mucho..los colores, las texturas.Perfectas para iniciar la semana!!

Its always something good to empower the joy and playfulness of the inner child we all carry inside.

Childhood is such a special moment in life. It defines who we become as grown ups. Or as others have said it before, “Chilhood is the homeland of men” and I couldn´t agree more. That´s why regardless the kind of childhood we had, wether if it was a happy one or not so happy…Now that we have grown, we have the choice to keep nurturing that part of our selves thats so important.

Always keep it alive! Be silly, be playful, surprise your self with life, be innocent, daydream…!

I know this are etsy finds after all, but I just got inspired by looking at them, and thinking even though some look just for kids, they also are perfect for grownups ; ) Dont they make you laugh? dream? want to cuddle the cat?

Siempre es algo bueno empoderar el entusiasmo y el juego del niño interior que todos llevamos dentro.

La infancia es unmomento tan especial en la vida. Define quién seremos de adultos. O como otros lo han dicho mejor, ” La infancia es la patria del hombre”. no podría estar más de acuerdo. Pero independientemente del tipo de infancia que hayamos tenido, si fue alegre o no lo fue tanto..siempre podemos elegir en el ahora, nutrir esa parte de nosotros tan importante. Mantenerla viva! haced tonterías, jugad, sorprenderos a vosotros mismos con la vida, sed inocentes, soñad despiertos…!

Sé que este es un post sobre hallazgos de Etsy, pero no he podido evitar escribir,esto porque es lo que he sentido al verlos ya que he pensado que aunque algunas de las cosas parecen sólo para niños, también son ideales para nuestro niño ; )

Qué bonitas son estas muñequitas llamadas unazukin. Son juguetes de verdad,pero cuando me encontré ayer en un blog esta imagen gif que movía la cabecita, de inmediato supe que también la quería para mi blog!! Así es que la encontré  por internet y la he puesto en la columna derecha, abajo, la habéis visto? a qué es una monada? I love to carve stamps! is one of my favorite crafts. I love the endless posibilities it offers and the wonderful results I get. A single stamp can be used for so many things, and I keep discovering more and more uses..Its wonderful to customize your things and really make them unique.

Thank you for encouraging to put together this tutorial. It was a new creative challenge for me and I had fun doing it, so I´m happy to share it now with you!

To hand carve your own stamps you will need

List of materials:

1.- Carving tools you can find online here.

2.-Erasers. I have found this brand works really well for me.

3.-A pencil nº 2

4. A sheet of white paper

5.- An exacto knife to trim the excess around your stamp design.

6.- Inkpad

Step by step instructions

1 and 2- Trace the size of your eraser on paper, so you know how big your drawing can be.

3. Draw on the paper something you like. I drew a fish inspired by chinese fish lanterns.

4 and 5 .- Place the drawing  on top of your eraser upside down.

6. Press with a pencil the drawing on the eraser to transfer your drawing. Of course you could also draw directly on the eraser!

7 and 8. Lift and if the drawing came out too light , draw over the pencil marks, so you can see them clearly.

9,10, 11 .- With the carving tool, very carefully start carving the eraser. Be gentle with the linoleum cutter but hold it firmly. Start on the outside lines and leave the inside and details for last. Try different hand pressures, you´ll learn with time which one works best.

12.- When the stamp is carved, stamp it on ink.check if you need to make any corrections.

13.- Your stamp is ready!

Carvar sellos a mano es uno de mis pasatiempos favoritos. Me encanta todas las posibilidades que ofrece y los resultados maravillosos que se pueden conseguir. Un único sello puede utilizarse para tantas cosas..y sigo descubriendo más usos con el tiempo. Es maravilloso poderse customizar las cosas y volverlas únicas.

Gracias a los que me animasteis a hacer este tutorial. Es un reto creativo para mi y me divierto mucho. Me alegra poder compartirlo con vosotr@s.

Para hacer vuestros sellos, necesitáis:

Lista de materiales:

1.-Las gubias son una especie de cuchillas especiales para carvar en diferentes tipos de material. Las hay para carvar madera por ejemplo, o en este caso linóleo. Éstas últimas serán las que utilicemos. Se pueden adquirir en tiendas de manualidades, bricolage y bellas artes o también por intenet aquí.Hay que tener mucho cuidado con las cuchillas porque cortan( os lo dice la voz de la experiencia ) Tened cuidado de sujetar bien el mango para que no se resbale y os corte.

2.-Gomas de borrar Existen maravillosos bloques especiales para carvar tus propios sellos. En España no conozco ningún distribuidor o tienda que las venda así es que utilizo gomas de borrar de este tipo para hacer mis sellos. Las marcas que  me han dado mejores resultados son Pelikan y Staedler .Los que prefiráis los bloques,los podéis comprar por internet,pero el envío sale algo caro.

3.- Lápiz del nº 2

4.-Hoja de papel para dibujar vuestro diseño.

5.- Cutter para cortar el exceso de la goma que no se vaya a utilizar.

6.- Tinta La tinta claro, es para estampar nuestro sello . Podéis conseguir las clásicas tintas azules, negras, rojas , encualquier papelería. Las de colores las podéis conseguir aquí entre otros muchos sitios que hay en internet. No conozco una tienda física donde las vendan,pero seguro que hay.

Instrucciones paso a paso

1 y 2.- A mí me gusta trazar el tamaño de la goma en el papel, así sé de qué tamaño puede ser mi dibujo.

3.- Dentro del trazo de la goma, hago el dibujo que pasaré a sello.

4.5 y 6- Coloco el papel encima de la goma, con el dibujo boca abajo y presiono con el lápiz para transferir el diseño a la goma.

7 y 8.-Si no se ve mucho, volvedlo a trazar encima con el lápiz a mano. También claro está,podéis dibujar encima directamente de la goma. Esto que hago yo es para tener claro el dibujo que voy a hacer y que  quede como lo quiero.Es más fácil trazarlo en un papel,pero como prefiráis.

9,10,11.- Ahora, con vuestra herramienta para carvar, con mucho cuidado de sujetar bien el mango, id carvando, es decir, quitando el exceso de goma alrededor de vuestro diseño. Primero comenzad por las líneas de afuera y pasad luego a las de dentro.La presión que ejercemos sobre la goma es importante ,pero esto se va aprendiendo con la práctica. Si la líne es muy fina, ejerced una presión suave pero firme, sí es más gruesa y no hay riesgo de llevarse un trozo del dibujo,aplicad más presión.

12.- Estampad vuestra goma en tinta y luego sobre el papel, aquí veremos sí necesitamos hacer correcciones.

13.- Vuestro sello está listo!!

Simplicity. This is my moto for today.And Inspiration Monday as well! Its always the simple things in life that are the best. A frugal breakfast, watching the sunrise, listening to the rain fall, feel the wet grass under my feet,listen to the crickets ( one of my favorites)..have tea with a friend..so many pleasures we can fill our life with.Tell me, what else would you add to this list? what are your simple pleasures of life?

Simplicidad. Este es mi moto para hoy y para la inspiración de los Lunes.Siempre son las cosas sencillas de la vida las mejores. Un desayuno frugal, contemplar el amanecer, escuchar  la lluvia caer, sentir el césped húmedo bajo los pies y disfrutar del canto de los grillos ( una de mis favoritas)…tomar el té con una amiga..tantos placeres con los que llenar nuestra vida. Yesterday something very special for me arrived in the mail..my business cards! It took so long for me to order some..First I had to look for an unexpensive printhouse, then come up with a design ( you have no idea how undecided I am ). I was unsure about printing a bunny with a bird and pink hearts ( like the icon of my shop,on the right side of the bar),or this one below, and finally I chosed this one. The black bunny is a new character from my recent illustrations( I´ll show them to you soon).

Well, enough talking, here they are..And btw, its Friday ! yay! ´m going to celebrate my niece´s birthday! how about you? any plans? I wish you beautiful days ahead!!!

Ayer, algo muy especial para mí llegó en el correo..mis tarjetas de visita!  qué alegría me dio abrir el paquete!! y es que me llevó tanto tiempo encargarlas..Primerobuscar una imprenta que fuera económica, luego crear un diseño ( soy muy indecisa). No estaba segura si imprimir unas con un conejito y un pajarito con corazones rosas ( como el conejito del icono de mi tienda, aariba a la derecha), o este de abajo y finalmente me decidí por este conejito negro que es un nuevo personaje de mis más recientes ilustraciones ( pronto os las enseñaré).

Bueno, suficiente hablar, aquí están, vedlas por vosotr@s mism@s..y por cierto, ya es Viernes, bien! Hoy voy a celebrar el sexto cumpleaños de mi sobrina. Y vosotros qué tal? Tenéis algún plan? Os deseo unos días maravillosos!

Before I write todays post I wanted to THANK each and every one of you for  your encouraging comments on yesterday post! I´m so happy to know you like stamping! I ´ve been asked to write a tutorial on this subject. So Hand stamp carving tutorial it´s on its way! I´ll have it ready next Tuesday!!! Cant wait to get started!!! yay!! Ok, so about today´s post…

Dont you love to visit artists workspaces? Theres something special about them. The place where art and creations occur. Yesterday, surfing the net, I came across this great site named Share some Candy where a lot of artists studios and work spaces are shown! including a favourite of mine, Camilla Engman!  Her studio is so inspiring and her style, even though it´s very different from mine,it´s very appealing to me. Along with her “StudioViolet” , you can find other studios from many different artists. GO take a look! : )

Antes de escribir el post de hoy, quiero agradeceros a todos por los comentarios tan amables en el post de ayer! Estoy muy contenta de que os haya gustado y de que queráis hacer vuestros sellos. Varios me habéis pedido que haga un tutorial de este tema, así es que uno viene en camino! Para el próximo Martes estará listo! Qué ganas de ponerme a ello!

No os encanta visitar los espacio de trabajo de los artistas? Hay algo muy especial en ellos. El lugar donde el arte y las creaciones ocurren. Ayer navegando por la web, me encontré un sitio fabuloso llamado Share some Candy donde muchos artistas se dan cita para compartir sus estudios y lugares de trabajo.Incluida una de mis artistas favoritas: Camilla Engman! Su estudio es tan inspirador ..así como su estilo que aunque es muy diferente al mio, me ecanta! Además de su “StudioViolet” Podéis encontrar el de muchos otros artistas. Os aconsejo que os deis una vuelta por ahi!
