I´m so happy! My postcards have arrived!

Step by step I set up my little but beloved shop and receiving this packages containing my things just makes me feel joy!

I´m not showing them to you with the solely intention of selling them, ok it would be great to have a sale or two, but, no, thats not the reason. The reason is simply that I´m happy to share them with you. Share this exciting new phase of my life which is bringing me so much excitement and motivation. And if I manage to make someone smile with them, then thats it! I´ll be more than happy!

Enough talking, here they are..

Oh, and by the way, the story of how this two friends met, its so cute! i´ll share it with you soon!!

Qué alegría!!! ya llegaron mis postales!!!

Poco a poco voy montando mi pequeña pero muy querida tiendecita y recibir estos paquetes ( bolsos, postales, ilustraciones) me emociona tanto!!

No os las muestro con la idea de que las compréis, que sí , estaría genial tener alguna que otra venta ,pero sobretodo mi intención es compartir con vosotros esta etapa emocionante que me llena de ilusión y motivación por superarme. Y si de paso logro repartir alguna que otra sonrisa, ya está, me sentiré más que feliz!

Bueno, menos hablar, aqui os las dejo…

Por cierto, la historia de cómo se conocieron estos amiguitos es muy tierna..ya os la contaré dentro de muy poco..

Forgive me if todays post has also something to do with my shop. It´s just that I´m very excited about it! I cant describe the feeling of  knowing my dear prints are travelling to so many different parts of the world!

It took me two years to really make it work, and I´m very happy for all that I´ve learned and accomplished. With perseverance and hours and hours of hard work! Thank you for all your support, whether if its buying or just coming here and read my blog, and leaving such encouraging comments you all make my heart sing!

So, I wanted to share with you today the little process of how I make my illustrations in three steps…( I´ve always loved to take a peek into how the artists create)

1.- Be inspired by something! A dream, nature, innocence..As you all know I love nature very much and it was my inspiration for this drawing..

Perdonadme si hoy también hablo de algo que tiene que ver con mi tienda. Pero es que estoy muy emocionada! No tengo palabras para describir la sensación de saber que mis queridas ilustraciones vuelan hacia las casas de personas en partes del mundo tan distintas…Israel, Eslovenia, Australia, Brasil, Estados Unidos..

Me llevo casi dos años hacerla funcionar y estoy muy feliz por todo lo que he aprendido y conseguido. Con perseverancia y muchas, muchas horas de trabajo! Gracias de nuevo por vuestro apoyo, ya sea comprando o leyendo mi blog o dejando comentarios siempre tan alegres y positivos! Hacéis que mi corazón cante!! : D

Así es que hoy quería compartir con vosotros el proceso de cómo hago una ilustración digital en tres pasos..(siempre me ha encantado cuando los artistas comparten el proceso de cómo crean sus obras)

1.- Inspiraros profundamente por algo! un sueño, la naturaleza, la inocencia…COom bien sabéis amo la naturaleza y fue de nuevo mi inspiración para este dibujo..

Primero lo dibujo con un lápiz en una libreta..

I dont have a scanner at home, so I take pictures with my camera and upload them to the computer.

Then I open the file of the sketch on illustrator and draw on top of it with the vectorized brushes.

No tengo un escáner en casa, así es que tomo fotos con mi cámara de mis dibujos, los subo al ordenador y abro el archivo con illustrator.Luego repaso las líneas con los pinceles de vectores.

I suppose this is how every one works..its not a “secret” but I wanted to share the process with you anyway.

Now color it with different layers and finally use photoshop for some details, like the seeds blowing away with the wind.

Supongo que así es la forma en que trabajan todos, o la mayoría..no es ningún “secreto” pero me hacía ilusión compartir el proceso con vosotros : )

Ahora lo coloreo utilizando diferentes capas y termino añadiendo algunos detalles con photoshop, como las semillas que vuelan al viento.

And voila! “Dandelion Dreams” is ready! I still love to blow this little seeds away with the wind, dont you? ; )

Y Voilá! “Sueños de Diente de León” está listo! ..Todavía me encanta cogerlos y ver como las semillas se vuelan con el viento y a tí ; )

This illustration is a new version of this one. It´s completely digital and looks so different from the original. It´s from my book “Pepa and the Dragon” . Is the story of a little girl -Pepa- and her little brother, Juan. They are playing in the forest when suddenly a green dragon appears and shows them the magic of nature. Here they are, “talking” to the tree and taking care of it. I would love to use these illustrations for a nice purpose. Maybe as a way to teach children the importance of nature. I would donate them happily!!

Esta ilustración es una nueva versión de ésta otra. Es completamente digital y se ve tan distinta de original. Es de mi libro “Pepa y el dragón”. La historia de una pequeña niña-Pepa y su hermano Juan. Están jugando en el bosque cuando de repente aparece un dragón verde que les muestra la magia de la naturaleza. Aquí están “hablando” con el árbol y cuidando de él. Me encantaría ver estas ilustraciones utilizarse para un buen propósito. Quizá como una forma de enseñar a los niños la importancia de la naturaleza. Las donaría gustosa.

I believe wishes are like ballons in which we attach chains and once we lift them up into the sky we dont allow them to reach the ears of God.

We must get rid of fear and lift them up again…high, very high!

letting the whole universe hear our wishes and if they come from a sincere heart they WILL  come true , for sure .

Let´s Start believing it´s possible!

Siempre he creido que nuestros deseos son como globos en los que atamos cadenas y una vez que los lanzamos hacia el cielo, no permitimos que lleguen a oidos de Dios.

Debemos librarlos del miedo.. tirar las cadenas, y lanzarlos de nuevo alto..muy alto!

Dejadando que el el universo escuche nuestros deseos y si provienen de un corazón sincero se harán realidad, seguro.

Empecemos a creer que es posible!

Japanese girls

Hay algo especial sobre la cultura popular japonesa que es irresistible! La seda, el té los cerezos en flor, los kimonos..me encanta todo. Por eso me he sentido inspirada a pintar éstos! Son pinturas originales hechas con tinta negra, pintura acrílica y están disponibles en mi tienda de Etsy.

There´s something about Japanese culture that´s So irresistible! Silk, tea, cherry blossom, kimonos, …I love it all! And that´s why I felt so inspired to paint these! They are one of a kind pantings and  are now availableon my Etsy shop! There´s  just five of them! little japanese girls painted with black ink and acrylic colors. They are all original paintings.

Uno de mis primeros cuadros o ilustraciones fue un dragón para la habitación de mi sobrina. Éste en concreto.

Me gustan mucho los colores alegres que tiene y ver a los niños volando encima del dragón.

Quería que mis hijos también tuviesen uno para su habitación. Así es que pinté éste que véis aquí al óleo.

Son mis hijos Tuti, Keni y mi sobrina Haydee.
