I´ve been a fan of Elsita Mora for a while now.

She is one of those artists who are so good at everything they do ! its really amazing!

From porcelain, to painting, miniature books..and one of my favorites : paper cuts!

I´ve been very inspired by her beautiful paper cuts and so I carved a little stamp …

Hace tiempo que sigo el trabajo MARAVILLOSO de Elsita Mora.

Pocas artistas hay como ella que abarquen tantas formas de expresión y además destaquen!

Elsita se atreve con todo! Desde trabajos con porcelana, libros en miniatura, muñecas hechas a mano, pintura y..uno de mis favoritos: los recortes de papel!

Siempre me han inspirado muchísímo y desde hace tiempo  quería probar a carvar un sellito inspirado en uno de sus trabajos…

I thought the idea of little animals together holding flowers was irresitible!

So with the permission of Elsita, here is my humble little version..

Esta idea de los animalitos, las florecitas me pareció irresistible

y con el permiso de Elsita, carvé mi pequeña y humilde versión ..

I´m happy with the result : ) I enjoy so much carving! its fun and meditative!

With this stamp I decorated a little notepad so you could see better the result.

Estoy contenta con el resultado : ) Cada vez disfruto más carvar; es muy entretenido y relajante : )

Con este sellito es que decoré una pequeña libreta, para que viérais mejor el resultado.

For that purspose I used my favorite pens to color the stamp.

I like these because when they dry you get this really nice matt finish.

Para ello, utilicé mis bolis favoritos japoneses de Uni-ball,

ya que cuando se secan queda un color mate  que cubre además muy bien .

Its fun to give some color to the stamps : )

y qué puedo decir …que además, me gusta colorear los sellitos : )

And here is the final result! just add some washi tape and voilá!

I like to write letters to my friends as often as I can.

Sometimes I use conventional envelopes,but in other ocassions I make them my self to give that special personal touch.

Its so simple…here´s a little tutorial for you : )

A mí me gusta escribir mucho a mano.Mando cartas a todas mis amigas siempre que puedo.

A veces utilizo sobres comprados pero en otras ocasiones los hago yo misma cuando quiero darle un toque más personal y especial.

Hello friends! I´m very excited because today I´m announcing my first workshop ever!!

It´s been raining a lot lately around here. I love sunny days, but I also enjoy when it rains!

How it smells, and the sound of the raindrops falling; how the wind makes the trees dance.. : D

Thats why my handmade finds for today are inspired by the green of the forests and the rain.

It says on the label of the candle, down there that it has a “rain forest” scent. Never smelled a candle like that before. Have you? seems interesting

Últimamente ha llovido mucho por aquí y aunque me encantan los días de sol, disfruto tanto del frescor de la lluvia!

De cómo huele la tierra , del sonido de cada gota, y ver cómo el viento hace bailar los árboles…:D

Por eso, mi selección de hoy de cosas “hechas a mano” está inspirada por el verde de los bosques y el olor de la lluvia : La vela de abajo dice que huele a lluvia! nunca he olido una vela que tuviera ese olor! y vosotros? debe ser interesante!

I´m a  lover of handmade goods.Whenever I have to make a present I can either do it myself or buy it direclty to an artisan.

How I love that uniqueness, the care put into it, the soul it exudes!

I want to bring back this section to the blog,but instead of calling it Etsy finds, I´ll just call it handmade finds,because I want to include products from other online markets, such as bigcartel, dawanda,artesanum..

Ha pasado mucho tiempo desde que no he posteado sobre Etsy o los hallazgos de lo “hecho a mano”! Tantas cosas bonitas en este amplio mercado online!

Soy una amante de lo artesano. Siempre que tengo que hacer un regalo, o lo hago yo misma o lo compro en uno de estos mercados virtuales.

Me encanta esa unicidad, el cariño y el cuidado puesto, el alma que emana!

Quiero traer de nuevo esta sección al blog,pero en vez de llamarla “hallazgos de Etsy” simplemente la llamaré “hallazgos hechos a mano” porque quiero incluir productos de otros mercados online, como bigcartel, dawanda,artesanum..

They are made of acrylic and painted by hand. They measutre aprox 3.5 cm to 4.5 cm

Ah, este hilo tan llamativo es en realidad lana para tejer! compré una bola gigante por 2 Dólares  : )

Me recordó al famoso “bakers twine”.

The tags consist in simply sticking two or three different colors of your choice of MT.

You can line them up one on top of another or in any direction .

Estas etiquetas consisten simplemente en pegar varias tiras de MT del color que queráis.Podéis colocarlas una encima de otra o en cualquier dirección.

I made the little stars with a star craft punch like this one

Las pequeñas estrellas las hice con una troqueladora como ésta.

Now the with pink masking tape, a little heart, the yarn and a minipeg to give it the final touches!

Ahora toca el turno del masking tape rosa, la lana, un corazoncito y la mini pinza dan los toques finales!

( Por cierto estas mini pinzas las podéis encontrar en España en los todo a cien)

This is another variation with a paper craft cardboard, the stars and a blue and white checkers MT oh and a stamps that means “happiness” : )

Ésta es otra variación con cartulina craft, las estrellas y una cinta masking tape de cuadraditos, ah! y un sello que significa “felicidad” : )

Now lets go for the second one:

Ahora vamos a por la segunda:

I´ll explain this one in five steps:

1.- Cut a piece of cardboard into a squared shape.

2.- Stick a  piece of MT of your choice on the bottom.

3.- With a piece of underground map or any kind of map ( or any paper you like for this purpose), cut the shape of a heart and glue it on the cardboard.

4.- Stamp some letters like” hello”,” love”…

and voila! know you have a cute tag!

…..AND THE DOG??!!

Explicaré esta en cinco pasos sencillos:

1.- Cortar una cartulina en forma cuadrada.

2.- Pegar un trozo de MT en la parte de abajo.

3.-Con un trozo de papel de mapa de metro ( o cualquier mapa…o cualquier papel en realidad), cortad un corazón y pegadlo también en la cartulina.

4.- Estampad con algunas letras palabras como “hola”, “amor” en la cartulina.

y listo! ahora tenéis una etiqueta muy mona!

…¿ Y EL PERRO???!!

oh yes! AND the dachshund of course!!

here it is! for you to save,print, cut and glue!

NOW you have everything you need! : )

Ah sí! Y falta el perrito salchicha claro!

Aquí está! para que lo guardes, lo imprimas, lo recortes y lo pegues!
