Mollie makes is an english magazine which was recently launched to the market and its having a lot of success.

I´ve liked it from the start, since it features many of the things I love, such as japanese embroidery,easy knitting projects, crochet,etc

Mollie makes es una revista Inglesa que hace poco salió al mercado y está teniendo mucho éxito.

A mí me ha gustado mucho desde el principio porque recoge muchas de las cosas que más me gustan en sus páginas.

Proyectos de punto,ganchillo e incluso han incluído bordado tipo zakka!

It was only a few weeks ago that I was contacted to colaborate in February´s next issue! I couldn´t believe it!

The magazine has arrived by mail to my house and I´m very happy and excited!

Specially to be able to show it to my kids who laughed with joy and at the same time couldn´t  quite understand what was my photo doing there.

Hace tan sólo dos semanas que me contactaron para aparecer en su revista! En el número de Febrero! No me lo podía creer!

La revista ya me llegó a casa por correo y fue muy emocionante.Sobretodo me dio alegría enseñárselas a

mis hijos que se reían pero no terminaban de entender cómo es que estaba mi foto ahí.

Por fin!! Hace tiempo que llevo organizando este nuevo taller!

Quería anunciarlo antes,pero aún faltaban algunos detalles..

Es un nuevo taller que me hace una ilusión tremenda!

Por todo! por compartir de nuevo un tiempo de creatividad con gente estupenda,por aprender nuevas formas de expresar y crear

y ..todo hay que decirlo,porque trabajaremos con mis materiales favoritos!!!  La mayoría japoneses!! Puede resultar mejor!?

La encuadernación japonesa es un arte milenario que se lleva enseñando hace muchísimo tiempo .

Como todo , cada quien imprime su toque personal a la hora de enseñar …espero que os guste el mio : )

Quiero aprovechar y dar las gracias a mi amiga Bea por su entusiasmo! Ella me animó a dar este nuevo taller!!

Y  mi nueva amiga Amanda que nos proveerá de un papel japonés maravilloso!!!

ay! se me ha olvidado escribir que el taller será sólo para 10 personas por grupo, debido a la atención que se requiere para crear cada libreta.

I dont know if the same thing happens to you, but do you normally get tired of the distribution of your furniture?

It might seam silly, but changing them from place feels like renewing the entire room : )

Puede parecer una tontería,pero cambiarlos de lugar es como renovar por completo la habitación. : )

Prefiero la mesa en frente de la ventana! Esa ventana que tanto me gusta por la luz que tiene ♥

Its fun to change things once in a while! and feel inspired by the new arrangements : )

As many of you know, a couple of weeks ago I went to Madrid to teach two stamp carving workshops..

Como much@s de vosotr@s sabéis, hace un par de semanas estuve en Madrid impartiendo un par de talleres de Carvado de sellos..

The  day of the workshop I had planned for more than three months was finally here!

So many details to have in mind..

And how exciting it was  being able to organize the tables with so many things (and ♥!)

El día del  taller que había planeado durante tres meses había llegado por fin! Tantos detalles a tener en cuenta..

y qué emocionante poder finalmente organizar las mesas con tantos detallitos( y cariño!)

I have really good news to tell you!

I´m VERY excited to share this with you because to me it really is a little dream coming  true!

I´m designing Stamps for Pennyblack!!!!

I have signed a contract and I´m already turning my illustrations into suitable designs for stamp making!

The first ones will probably come out in Spring!!! But I need to confirm that!

My nature bunnies will be the first ones! wow! I cant wait to see them turned into stamps!

There had been many many times during my career were I would feel unsure or upset about my future but even then I would keep trying and not giving up. Keep believing in my self and in my dreams and hopes. I think we deserve to fullfill our dreams.We deserve to be happy doing what we love, what inspires us and makes us feel alive.

Estoy MUY emocionada de compartir esto  porque es un sueño hecho realidad!

Diseñaré sellos para Penny Black!

He firmado un contrato y estoy ya pasando mis ilustraciones a sellos de goma !

Los primeros saldrán con suerte esta Primavera! Aunque aún debo confirmarlo!

Mis conejitos de la naturaleza serán de los primeros! wow! qué ganas de verlos convertidos en sellos!

Ha habido muchas veces en mi carrera como ilustradora en los  que me he sentido insegura o triste sobre mi futuro pero incluso en esos momentos uno no puede dejar de intentarlo de seguir hacia adelante. Seguir creyendo en los sueños y teniendo esperanza. Creo sinceramente que merecemos verlos realizados, merecemos todos ser felices haciendo lo que amamos, aquello que nos inspira y nos hace sentir vivos.

A friend Recently told me how she was starting to notice how Spring influenced the colors Iwas showing on the blog..

Una amiga me comentó hace unos días que ya notaba como la Primavera me influía en los colores…

YES! Definetly” I want to be surrounded by acid pinks, lemon yellows, and those kind of greens that are very bright!! and all the color I can ! : )

Sí! definitivamente! Quiero rodearme de rosas ácidos,amarillos limón, verdes de esos que hieren los ojos…y todo el color que me sea posible!

Winter is a very nice season,but there comes a time where you are just finished with it…and the only thing you want id for the sun to shine bright! I´ve noticed my self seeking for flower buds on the trees and spotting little bits of color showing up from the grass..

I want  a burst of light, life and color! ♥

El invierno es bonito ,pero llega un momento en que ya no quieres saber nada..sólo quieres que brille el sol con fuerza y te das cuenta como los ojos detectan rápidamente los capullos en flor y los primeros colores que van asomando tímidamente entre las flores! Quiero unaexplosión de luz, de vida y de color!!♥

I love the soft palettes , the neutrals, each color is special and evoques something different..

But in the end I tend to use the bright colors..infused with a soft background so it wont look to saturated.

Me gustan mucho los colores suaves,los pasteles,los neutros, cada paleta evoca algo distinto y especial…

Pero al final me doy cuenta que siempre tiro a los colores brillantes ..pero con un fondo claro para que no resulte tampoco saturado.

I have already bought some flower seeds to plant in Spring! I definetly want color everywhere around me!

We humans are so lucky to live life in color! ♥♥♥♥♥♥

Ya he comprado semillas de flores de muchos colores para plantarlas en seguida!!

Sticker fun

Since I was a little girl,I´ve loved stickers…who doesn´t? : )

The only problem is that you dont always find ones you like or they are so expensive! Specially now that they come with glitter and pretty things.

So I decided to make my own!

Desde niña siempre me encantaron las pegatinas…a quién no, verdad? especialmente esas que las rascabas y olían tan bien..: )

El problema ahora es que no siempre encuentras algunas que te gusten  o son muy caras, sobretodo ahora que vienen con purpurina y cosas especiales.

Así es que decidí hacer las mías..

All you need is this very cheap circle  labels ( they are very common, so you can find them at any paper store) and some color pens

Todo lo que necesitas son estas etiquetas redondas (muy baratas por cierto ) Las encuentras en cualquier papelería, son muy comunes. y bolis de colores.

And then just draw on them anything you like! little flowers, birds, stars..

Y luego dibuja cualquier cosa que te guste! pequeñas flores, pajaritos, estrellas..

Another idea is to paint the labels with different colors. I used for these, liquid watercolors.

Otra idea es simplemente pintar los adhesivos con diferentes colores. Yo utilicé acuarelas líquidas.

Here´s one of my stickers on an envelope. Sometimes I like to include  as a little present, a whole set in one of the letters I write to my sisters. : )

Aquí está una de mis pegatinas en un sobre. A veces me gusta incluir como un regalito unas cuantas  dentro de las cartas que les escribo a mis hermanas.

And finally, you can also use stamps!

Y finalmente ,también podéis utilizar sellos!

This idea is pretty good too, to welcome your kids to join you.Their little drawings are so cute!

Hello !!I´m having a shop update!!and this are very exciting news for me because I see my little bussiness grow! Thank you SO  much for your support!! Its an AMAZING feeling to know, people from ALL around the world have my illustrations at home! I feel so blessed to share my soul through my art : )

Hola! Estoy “actualizando “ mi tienda ( no sé si se dice así en español : P) Y son muy buenas noticias para mí,porque veo mi pequeño negocio crecer y esto me da alegría! Es  una sensación INCREIBLE  saber que personas de TODAS partes del mundo tienen mis ilustraciones en sus casas! Me siento bendecida al poder compartir un trocito de mi alma a través de mi arte!

I have to relate to this wonderfurl Speech Elizabeth GIlbert gave at a conference ( I really recommend you to listen to it)

Because thats exactly the way I feel about what I do. I dont feel this is entirely me painting or expressing my self..my hands hold the brushes and the pencil, but I feel that something else is manifesting through me. Call it whatever you like, it really doesnt´s matter! its the same source where we all come from, where everything manifests.

This little devas as I like to call them, are little angels of nature with animal forms.

Antes que nada, tengo que recomendaros este discurso que dio ELizabeth Gilbert sobre la creatividad.

Porque es así cómo me siento exáctamente. No siento que sea “yo” enteramente pintando o expresándome..mis manos sujetan el pincel y los colores,pero se siente a veces que es “algo más” manifestándose a través de uno.El nombre no importa, porque al fin y al cabo es la misma fuente de donde todo y todos procedemos, donde todo se manifiesta.

Estos pequeños “devas” como me gusta llamarlos, son ángelitos de la naturaleza con forma de animalitos, en este caso conejitos.

It is through living with others, sharing, expressing  that lovingly companionship that we truly are humans.

Es a través de vivir con los demás, compartiendo, expresando, acompañando…que  llegamos a ser realmente humanos.

Contemplation

As for this little one…mmm he seems to be meditating!( not sleeping)Feeling the life within and around him. Inside and out. Thats the reason why flowers adorn him. : ) There´s no separation between them and him : )

I´m coming to the point were i´m really, really valuing more handmade gifts. I truly think they are possibly the best gifts.

Cheap, beautiful and made with so much love! what else could I ask for? That they like them? well, yes, of course!

So this Crhistmas besides the pins for my sisters, I painted these for my two sons..

Estoy llegando al punto donde realmente valoro cada vez más los regalos caseros. Pienso que son posiblemente los mejores regalos.

Knitted ones, painted , sewed, or even baked! possibilities are endless and oh so priceless! yay for handmade! : )

De hecho hice tres de éstos: uno para Tuti, otro para Keni, y otro para mí ( no me pude resistir)
