I´m always inspired by light and the wonderers of nature.  I Would really love to be surrounded right now by trees and have nice ( and refreshing) walk on the countryside. How are you? how was your weekend? I really enjoyed mine! Got some time for my self and also with the kids, wich was lovely.

This week will be a good one at my blog! I have some nice things to share with you and some surprises…so stay tuned ; )

But, today is today, so lets relax and enjoy an imaginary walk on the beach, for example..or a nice space in which we can relax and enjoy every moment of life. Hapy inspiration Monday to yo!

Cómo estáis? Qué tal vuestro finde? Yo disfruté mucho el mío!tuve tiempo para mí misma y también para divertirme con mis hijos, lo cual fue genial.

Esta semana será  una buena en mi blog! Tengo muchas coas bonitas que enseñaros , y algunas sorpresas…así que estad atentos ; )

Pero hoy es hoy, así es que relajémonos y disfrutemos un paseo imaginario por la playa…o descansar en un sitio acogedor y tranquilo que nos inspire, disfrutando asi cada momento de la vida. Feliz Lunes inspirador para vosotr@s!

A Zen proverb says that when we learn to value and appreciate the small things in life, we´ll find beauty everywhere we look.

Even the most simple things have their charm,their magic. A cloud pass by, the wind playing with your hair, a sunbeam  going through a leaf, summer weeds. Everything we need to feel happy is right in front of us. We just have to stop and take a look, as if it was the first time we discovered a flower, a cloud, the moon!

These are some of  my summer weeds..

Dice un proverbio Zen que cuando aprendemos a valorar y apreciar las pequeñas cosas de la vida, dondequiera que miremos encontraremos belleza. Hasta las más sencillas están llenas de encanto, de magia. Una nube pasar, el viento jugando con tu pelo, un rayo de sol atravesando una hoja..unas hierbas en el campo…Entonces todo lo que necesitamos para ser felices está delante de nuestros ojos.Sólo tenemos que detenernos y observar, como si fuera la primera vez que vemos esa flor, esa nube, la luna..

Words can be so beautiful. It´s sound, it´s meaning..what they evoque…I´d love to make a list of all the words I read, listen, or think of that I like.I´ve listed some below in spanish since it´s my homelanguage. Translated they would be : cloud, moon, sky, mandarine, cotton, rain ..

I read that a german magazine held a contest searching  for the most beautiful words in the world. My favourite was “Oppholdsvaer”  : ” light day after the rain”  in norwegian.

Do you also have a list with beautiful words? what are your favourites ?

A veces cuando digo o pienso en una palabra encuentro algunas que son preciosas, ya sea fonéticamente o por su significado o por lo que evocan. Quisiera tener una lista con mis palabras favoritas. Entre ellas estarían… Nube, Luna, cielo,mandarina, azul, lluvia…

Leí que hace tiempo hubo un concurso llevado a cabo por la revista alemana Kulturaustausch para encontrar las palabras más bellas. Entre ellas, la que me llamó la atención por su bello significado fue “Oppholdsvaer” que significa “la luz del día después de la lluvia” en noruego …Maravillosa!

y vosotras, tenéis también una lista de palabras maravillosas? ¿Cuál es vuestra favorita?

Dear friends the last part of the photography tutorial will be posted tomorrow first thing in the morning! sorry….I´m still working on it :  )

In the meantime I wanted to share with you some very wonderful antique pieces from my friend Carine. She is from France but lives in Spain. I´m mentioning this because this cups are probably from France or Germany since she is from Alsace.

She let me photograph these amazing cups from her great-grand mother. We are guessing they might me from 1830 or so.

White porcelain..so incredibly light I was scared of breaking them just by touching them. But thank God nothing happened!

Take a good look at the gold trim and the beautiful handpainted blue flowers japanese style .

Querid@s amig@s la última parte del tutorial de fotografía estará lista mañana a primera hora. Aun tengo algunos ajustes que hacer.

Mientras tanto quiero compartir con vosotros algunas fotos de piezas antiguas de mi amiga Carine. Es de Francia pero vive en España. Menciono ésto porque Seguramente estas tacitas sean francesas o alemanas porque ella es de Alsacia.

Me dejó fotografiar estas increíbles tazas que pertenecieron a su bisabuela. Creemos que deben ser de 1850 aproximadamente.

Son de porcelana y son tan ligeras que pensé que las podría romper sólo con tocarlas,pero menos mal no ocurrió nada!

Fijaros bien en el borde de oro y las delicadísimas flores azules pintadas a mano del interior.Parecen flores de almendro.

I really covet family treasures. I would have LOVED to inherit an old piece from my family. Specially from my mother.

But  she passed away when I was really little and all her belongings got lost in the way.

Anyway, having something so beautiful as these cups or ring from family generations is something to love and covet dont you think?

Me encantan los tesoros familiares. Me hubiese Encantado heredar alguna pieza antigua de mi familia,;especialmente de mi madre.

Pero falleció cuando yo era muy pequeña y todas sus pertenencias se extraviaron por el camino.

Bueno, tener piezas tan bonitas como éstas que pertenecieran a generaciones es algo para amar y atesorar no creési?

Hola! Feliz Lunes! Qué tal el fin de semana? Estáis listos para comenzar esta nueva que comienza? Aquí hay algo para animaros…

Hoy me siento inspirada por estas imágenes tan hermosas de tutus, flores, luces suaves y el malva….disfrutad!! : D

A single flower in a jar can bring so much beauty into a home! This was one of those moments I didn´t intend to use the camera. I was just placing the flower in the jar with water and I thought it was so pretty I had to get the camera! As soon as I had the appropiate sunlight. Light is what makes the difference. You have to wait for that special light when shooting …that will do the “magic” . I dont use photoshop for this pics, only when I´m in search of a special mood,; The photos of my holidays are an example of this . The rest of the photos are taken in natural light and uploaded to the blog after resizing them.

I was thinking of writing a tutorial on how to take better styled photos. well It´s actually something I´ve been working on since last year ,but to be real honest, since the BYW e-course I took had some photography and styling classes I want to play fair. So I will write only of what I know and have learned on my own. One or two things will sound alike but it will just be a coincidence. I respect too much Holly and Leslie´s work . Besides that, I think it´s really exciting to share this with you and I hope you like it and find it useful. So coming soon..the tutorial on how to take prettier pictures and  how to style them. I plan to divide it in several parts. So Expect the first one next week!

Una sola flor en un bote de mermelada puede aportar tanta belleza a la casa! Éste fue uno de esos momentos en los que no pretendía utilizar la cámara. Sólo colocaba la flor en el frasco con agua y pensé que se veía tan bonita y a la vez era algo tan simple.Tuve que ir a por mi cámara…En cuanto tuve la luz apropiada. Tienes que esperar a esa luz especial si es que te gusta sacar fotos al natural y no tienes focos especiales o un estudio fotográfico. A mí en lo personal la luz natural es la que más me gusta y creo que es la que obra la verdadera” magia”

No suelo utilizar photoshop para la mayoría de las fotos. Sólo cuando quiero aportarle a la foto un estado de ánimo especial, como en las fotos de mis vacaciones.El resto de las fotos por lo general las subo al blog después de hacerlas más pequeñas.

Estaba pensando en escribir un pequeño tutorial de cómo sacar mejores fotos y más estéticas. En realidad es algo que he querido hacer desde el año pasado,pero siendo completamente honesta, como el curso de BYW que tomé se dió un poco de fotografía y estilismo, quiero jugar limpio; así es que escribiré sólo de que he aprendido por mí misma.Algunas cosas serán parecidas, pero será sólo coincidencia. Respeto mucho el trabajo de Holly y de Leslie. Además de eso, creo que será divertido y sobretodo espero que lo encontréis útil y que os sirva.Así es que pronto…el tutorial sobre cómo sacar mejores fotos. Planeo dividirlo en varias partes.Así que esperad la primera para la próxima semana!

And the beach, of course! the sun did come out and even though the water was freezing we managed to take a swim!

Y la claro, la playa! El sol salió y aunque el agua estaba congelada, nos metimos a nadar!

By the way, the place is  Cartagena a  coastal city in the southeast of Spain.

Por cierto, el lugar es Cartagena, una ciudad costera en el sureste de España.

We are having holidays here in Spain and so I´m taking a week off to spend with the family…maybe go to the beach -if the sun comes out- I´ll see you next Monday, wishing you the best days of Spring!

Tenemos vacaciones aquí en España y me tomaré una semana para pasarla en familia…quizá hasta vayamos a la playa- si sale el sol.- Os veré de nuevo el Lunes que viene, deseando que paseis los mejores días de  Primavera!

See, lately I´m obssesed with color! everywhere I look, I´m in search for color combinations…whether I´m in the train, the park, hanging the laundry, eating breakfast…I always say to my self things like this : “Hey this two colors blend pretty well together..maybe I could paint something or take a picture”. This happens like 30 or 40 times a day! Like this morning I just couldn´t eat my toasts until i took the picture haha.. How does this sound? kind of crazy? Maybe.,..but I really cant help it!  I´m in love with colors!

Veréis, últimamente estoy un poco obsesionada con el color! dondequiera que miro , estoy buscando automáticamente combinaciones de colores..Ya sea que vaya en el tren, esté en el parque, tendiendo la ropa, desayunando…Siempre pienso cosas como ésta: ” Ey, estos dos colores combinan bien juntos, debería pintar algo o fotografiarlo”. Esto me sucede como treinta o cuarenta veces al día! como esta mañana, no podía comerme las tostadas hasta que las fotografiara! Cómo suena esto? un poco loco? Tal vez..pero no lo puedo evitar!Me encantan los colores!
