The week has gone by so fast I almost cant believe it!

I cnt wait until tomorrow though, beacause I´m painting pottery at a friends house! how exciting!!

I´ll take me y camera with me, so I´ll share everything with you next week : )

Oh I´m so excited! Paula Valentim has updated her bigcartel shop otchipotchi,with completely new porcelain vases!

She uses real stones to make the molds! I ´m so smitten by her soft , unglazed white pieces. They are so beautiful!

Estoy muy emocionada porque por fin Paula Valentim ha actualizado su tienda de cerámica  OTCHIPOTCHI, con jarrones completamente nuevos!

Hace tiempo que lo espero y ando detrás de uno de ellos!

Podéis creer que Paula utiliza piedras de verdad para hacer los moldes! Sus floreros tan suaves, blancos y sin barnizar son preciosos!!

Her vases are the ones I always use to photograph flowers! I love how the look in a such a lovely vase! (you can see some of the photos here,here and here)

But what I love the most is the organic feeling of it all! her work is unique and very special!no wonder  she is having such a big success!Congratulations Paula!!

by the way I would recommend you to read an interview here! its in portuguese, so maybe you´ll need to translate it , but so much worht it : )

Son los que utilizo siempre para sacar mis fotos de flores! Me encanta lo bonitas que quedan en ellos! (podéis ver algunas de esas fotos aquí, aquí y aquí)

Si hay una palabra que define el trabajo de Paula para mí es “orgánico”, todo en él: textura, forma..es una cerámica única y muy especial! no me extraña que esté teniendo tanto éxito! Felicades Paula!

Good Morning!!

Today is bright and sunny over here! although a bit cold!

They said is going to snow on Thursday..brrr..Time to make hot chocolate and put on my warm wool socks!

Ever since I bought this porcelain pebble shaped vase from the lovely Paula of Otchipotchi,

I cant stop taking pictures of it! with many many different type of flowers..I really love its organic shape , so soft and delicate..

everything looks beautiful in it!

This are some flowers I found in England and that I also love! I dont have any idea of what type of flower it is, but it doesnt reallymatter..It just makes me happy!!

Desde que compré este pequeño Jarroncito de porcelana  de la dulce Paula de Otchipotchi, no puedo dejar de sacarle fotos !

Con tantas y tantas flores diferentes…Me encanta su forma orgánica, su suavidad y su delicadeza..

Todo se ve tan bonito en él!

I ´m going to visit my sister today, and wont come back until Monday, so Friday will be a quiet one around here. But if you want you can imagine my post. Maybe some more nature photographs accompanied with few words… ;  ) ( I´m just kidding with you)

Each time I browse through Etsy or other handmade marketplace, I keep falling in love with new artists and their amazing talent and creativity.

I ´m not a person who spends a lot  money on clothes and other similar things..I rather buy craft supplies and prints or art from other fellow artists. I really value and love their work and love to support them in this way. Buying something unique, special and full of personality. Do you feel this way too?  Like some of this artist I came across today..

Voy a visitar a mi hermana hoy y no regresaré hasta el Lunes,por lo que este espacio quedará silencioso mañana. Si queréis podéis imaginar el post que escribiría. Algunas fotos de la naturaleza quizás acompañadas de palabras sencillas…: ) Es broma.

Siempre que me meto en Etsy u otros mercados artesanos on line, me enamoro una y otra vez de los artistas que descubro y su increíble talento y creatividad.

No  soy una persona que gaste   mucho en ropa u otras cosas. Prefiero invertir mi dinero en productos de manualidades y láminas u otros artículos de artistas emergentes. Realmente valoro su trabajo y me encanta apoyarlos de esta y otras formas. Me encanta la sensacion de comprar algo único, especial y lleno de personalidad. Vosotros sentís esto también?

In the meantime I wanted to share with you some very wonderful antique pieces from my friend Carine. She is from France but lives in Spain. I´m mentioning this because this cups are probably from France or Germany since she is from Alsace.

She let me photograph these amazing cups from her great-grand mother. We are guessing they might me from 1830 or so.

White porcelain..so incredibly light I was scared of breaking them just by touching them. But thank God nothing happened!

Take a good look at the gold trim and the beautiful handpainted blue flowers japanese style .

Mientras tanto quiero compartir con vosotros algunas fotos de piezas antiguas de mi amiga Carine. Es de Francia pero vive en España. Menciono ésto porque Seguramente estas tacitas sean francesas o alemanas porque ella es de Alsacia.

Me dejó fotografiar estas increíbles tazas que pertenecieron a su bisabuela. Creemos que deben ser de 1850 aproximadamente.

Son de porcelana y son tan ligeras que pensé que las podría romper sólo con tocarlas,pero menos mal no ocurrió nada!

Fijaros bien en el borde de oro y las delicadísimas flores azules pintadas a mano del interior.Parecen flores de almendro.

I really covet family treasures. I would have LOVED to inherit an old piece from my family. Specially from my mother.

But  she passed away when I was really little and all her belongings got lost in the way.

Anyway, having something so beautiful as these cups or ring from family generations is something to love and covet dont you think?

Me encantan los tesoros familiares. Me hubiese Encantado heredar alguna pieza antigua de mi familia,;especialmente de mi madre.

Pero falleció cuando yo era muy pequeña y todas sus pertenencias se extraviaron por el camino.

Bueno, tener piezas tan bonitas como éstas que pertenecieran a generaciones es algo para amar y atesorar no creési?
